No food there so far as I can tell - so we may need a nearby food spot also.  I will ask and update.

cornerkick got a reaction from N-A in Bordeaux pre-game June 9: Charles Dickens Pub, Pl de la Bourse
I'm catching the Rotterdam game first, and will be taking the train to Bordeaux afterwards.  Yeah, let's hope there's some additional transit after the game.
Looking forward to the game and meeting everyone who attends.  I'll be checking the forum, and can do whatsapp also, but I don't have facebook.  Bought an eSim but looks like I need to be in Europe first to get it activated.

I think we'll tentatively say Place du Parlement, it is a nice large square with many bars and restaurants and big terraces in the old quarter, near the tramline.
And as soon as someone plants a flag there or nearby, that's our base and we'll inform everyone.

Thanks for the tip on the transit pass, makes sense for to and from airport as well. Are you flying in? I am. The A (Purple) line of the tram goes from airport to the centre.
Regarding transit, I was looking at that and saw there are infrequent trams on that line Sundays late. But you would think they'd do as you say, add extra service on a game day. If I get a chance I'll ask.

Also, fwiw, the advance forecast is calling for rain on Sunday, but clearing up in the evening.

I'm good with any place that is accessible via transit.  It'll be my first time in Bordeaux.
The transit authority, TBM, has an app that you can purchase tickets and passes from.  They have a 24-72 hour unlimited pass which looks like a good option if you are there for a few days.
The one thing I'm wondering about is transit options after the game.  It could be over around 23:00?  There's going to be a large crowd, so there will probably be extra teams, busses, etc going back to the city centre?

Meetup Pregame: Charles Dickens: 9 Quai de la Douane
All welcome. They open at 3pm, it seems, and close at 11:30.
If there is overflow, Wall Street beside it. Wall St is open until 1:45 am if anyone is interested in post-game.
As @cornerkickhas posted both are near the Place de la Bourse tramline stop, Line C, stadium and back.
    Match 21:15
Stade Matmut Atlantique (this is in the north of the city in an exhibitions ground)
Transportation: Tramway Line C Pink; Stop: Parc des Expositions
    https://www.infotbm.com/fr/horaires/recherche/61/route%3ATBT%3A61
Line C PINK goes through the centre of Bordeaux and then splits going north, make sure you take the east or Parc des Expositions variant.
Some say the tram is not fast to the stadium, and anticipating security, leave no later than 7pm.
Security: Be aware that given recent precedents, and with European elections being held on 9 June, there could be extra security in the stadium and throughout the city. Be early and be patient.
The suggestion is near the Place de la Bourse tramway stop, just off the historical walking centre, closer to most hotels.

cornerkick got a reaction from Canuckia in NEW: Ticket Link for Netherlands Friendly
Looks like everyone is getting better seats:

You recently ordered tickets via the KNVB Ticket shop for the Netherlands versus Canada match on Thursday, June 6 in Rotterdam. To be precise, you have ordered tickets for section GG.
Because the match will not be completely sold out, it has been decided to move the Canadian fans from section GG to section EE. Section GG is normally the section for visiting fans. Because regular sections are now also available, we want to offer you better places and therefore the transfer to section EE. You do not have to do this yourself. We have moved your order in the ticket sales system and you will receive the ticket for section EE by email this weekend. If you have ordered multiple tickets, you will of course also receive seats next to each other for section EE. Only Canadian fans will be present in section EE.

I prefer Biello to not be involved because I prefer a new manager seeing things fully his way, in his own eyes.
Having this interim guy lurking, reasoning to justify his pov, past decisions, positional logics, is or could be a block.
Give an example: my best friend is married to someone who was my girlfriend 20 years before they hooked up (this is freaking true). It was and is very hard to shut up, not compare notes ever and let them do it their way.
The CSA has to let Marsch do it his way, even if he sticks Bradley in there I'll accept it as the latter will be fully dependent on Marsch and no one or thing else.

I have nothing against Biello staying, he’s gonna be a good help for Marsch. But, if he is serious about being a Head Coach and one day maybe coach the CMNT, he got to go out of his comfort zone and coach somewhere else.

His career follows the same pattern : assistant coach at Montreal. Survives Marsch, Schallibaum and Klopas and has his chance. Assistant coach for Canada,  survive Herdman and stays on Marsch’s staff. Is he waiting after Marsch is done so he can be gifted his spot?

He said he waited all his life to have the opportunity to coach the CMNT, if he is that passionate about it he should go out there and prove his worth as a coach.

    York United needs a coach…

Liverpool should be a better fit than the previously rumoured Arsenal. Smith will get more playing time and can grow with the team.
FSG has finally decided that women's football is worthy of investing in. They have a team of upcoming talents in the vein of Smith, finished 4th and moved to a better ground.

They are still playing their home games at Tranmere's stadium, but the club did buy back the Melwood training base for the women's team last year. For those that don't know, Melwood was the training base for the men's team for about 70 years before they moved to the new, state-of-the-art facility at Kirkby. Kirkby hosts all of the men's and youth teams, but the club caught major criticism for not including the women's program when the new facility was set up. They finally managed to quell some of that criticism by buying back Melwood from the housing developers who'd bought it from then a few years earlier. So, the Liverpool women's team now trains every day on the grounds where Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, and the rest of the Boot Room club legends moulded the teams that would win 4 European Cups.

    Just bought mine.
You have to start with the link, you go to the tix with the precode for our section, then it asks you to register with the French Federation, FFF, which was a bit of a runaround. Then you go into the system again and pay. It says we won't receive the tix until 2pm local time on June 6. I also think it says it won't charge our cards until then as well. Maybe we are being checked.
We are in a lower corner on the north end, good spot. Let's hope our guys win corners when playing in our direction.

Attendees: let's pick a pub that is downtown in Bordeaux for pre-game 4-7:30 pm, on the tramline C, pink, that goes to the stadium. Takes 25 min but gameday will be slower, but that allows meal and a drinks. I don't know Bordeaux but if anyone does please suggest (Quincones, Place de la Bourse...)

Thank you for that.  He expressed my exact thoughts on a lot the theories posted on this thread.

“I had someone ask does the three MLS owners coming together [to fund the salary] mean they’re going to dictate squad selection? I was like: ‘Come on man! Don’t be foolish.’ No coach would take a position with that kind of stipulation,” says Marsch.

And good to see him in the job, chomping at the bit.
