That Koleosho debut goal was a screamer though.. even if he did rip his shirt off to reveal a US jersey before giving herdman the finger and retreating down the tunnel at top speed that may or may not have shown he is as fast as adult players despite playing at a youth level.

would it be too much to ask for an open practice session or something, for some goodwill?  no winners today, and fans took the worst of it

As I was all primed for a game thread tonight, I may just comment on the Panama - Canada game that is going on in my head instead.  That might be just as fun:
Lineups are out - Canada going with a 1-1-8 formation here.  Interesting to see that they are leaving Johnston back to hold the fort with Eustaquio in front of him behind a front line of (left to right): Davies - Brym - Ugbo - David - Cavallini - Larin - Hoilett - Buchanan.  Quite a gamble but I think it'll pay off.

I doubt that makes up for the hundreds of dollars fans are losing on this fiasco.
Players would end up cancelling at the last second anyways. 🤷‍♂️

Wow. I don't even know what to say. I feel like fans in Vancouver have been completely screwed over by everything.

For anyone renewing their OS subscription, you may want to grab Fubo instead.  The OS main channel is on it as well as other sports channels (within the app) - Bein being the biggest one.  I believe Fubo has the rights to EPL starting next season so the value for money made it a no-brained for me.  I figure OS and Canada footy stop get their cut but this way I am getting more for my money.

The hysterical comments here about the game not being played, with no basis for them in the least, just shows the inexperience of so many fans. 
Why would a negotiation about bonuses affect a game schedule? Are people so fragile that they think they are about to get a divorce because their spouse says you've overcooked the steaks?
I am a bit disappointed in the lunacy I'm seeing. The game is 100% on from day one and the contract signed with the Match Agent, BC Place and the two federations. There was never the least indication that would change. 
The only thing that bothers me is the players not training on Saturday either (unless somehow Herdman and co used the time to prep tactics for our WC rivals, which would have been interesting), and even worse, rumours of being seen out late the night before a match. That is extremely disrespectful to the fans, who deserve their team to fully prep. If they don't play this match with full verve they are going to hurt their cause badly.

The closer we get to the game (we're only a couple of hours before players would be arriving at the stadium), the more of a dick move to the fans it would be for the players to not to actually play it, regardless of whether they have a legit beef in wanting a greater % of money. Knock on wood, I suspect the game will go ahead and perhaps some other visible protest will occur. Hopefully part of the point of not training was get the meeting with the CSA & getting proper clarity rather than just feeling like the CSA wasn't listening to them. If the plan was to boycott the match (and nobody has ever said that it was), that should have been announced as a threat from the get go, so hopefully it was never seriously considered as an option.

Definitely not saying it’s their fault but to veto the Iran match a week or so before the match (for good reason) just to hold the last second replacement hostage, after your fans have now bought 2 sets of tickets (some travelling to be here) is pretty ridiculous.

What a fucking joke! No longer can we ever make fun of any minnows who:
- can’t field a full squad.
- play on “cow patches”
- won’t pay their players
- defect

I just tried — I can still buy tickets (made it all the way to the payment page).
