If LAFC is looking to bring in Lloris, I think that's an indication Crepeau wants to try Europe. He was not the problem for LAFC this year and there's no reason for them to move on from him, so I read this as it's his decision.

Courtois has the long-term injury, and Kepa is not convincing. Then they have Lunin who is really third-keeper material. 
Crepeau has a bit of Casillas characteristics, he's not a big frame or tall, he's very sure, a good stopper of breakaways, good in the air for his height.

I think that he will want to eventually try his chance in Europe, he could go back to France and coach somewhere in League 1. Also, if he wanted to switch to the national game for some reason, there’s no reason to think the US wouldn’t give him an offer. Berhalter was also Columbus’ coach and he was hired without wining a championship. He saw what it’s like to manage a team with severe budgetary restrictions and weak leadership that handcuffs the team with Montreal- I don’t know why he’d want to do it all over again with Canada.

It seems every Lille game is frustrating as all hell to watch.
