    UPDATE:
The KNVB have replied that they will be making a section available (number of seats still to be confirmed).  The tickets will be €35 and once we have a link, they will be made available to Voyageurs paid members first before they are made available to the general public.

Reason number 857 that a good CMNT youth setup with as many games as possible  helps our players get "views" from around the world
Add in the cracker he scored in Mexico recently and this helps the pathway for him and hopefully many more to follow

The French don't start their Eurocup campaign until the 17th. So for them the lead time is good, they could shift it to the Monday even. But they have Luxembourg before us, it is just to shake out their legs, so they don't need to rest from that at all.
I also imagine that for fans, you choose a Sunday and let it be a real party for them during the day.

It pretty much has to be one of those 2 days.
We play the Dutch on June 6. The June window opens after Sunday June 2. Any later would put the game too close to our June 20 game v Argentina. Plus France first Euro game is June 17

KLM has some direct but pricey flights from Amsterdam (AMS) to Bordeaux (BOD).
But another very reasonable alternative to the trains is the direct Transavia flight from Rotterdam (RTM) to Bergerac (EGC).
As of this post it's only $150 CAD for June 8th.
Bordeaux is ~100km and 90 minutes from Bergerac.

I agree with your assessment. Although, I dont think it should matter where Nelson, like really any other player, plays at club position. Position at club level should not dictate where we deploy them with the national team. Many of our players play at different positions for club and country or at club level alone.
I would love to see Jayden deployed in a number of positions in midfield for the national team. We already saw this at the Gold Cup. I think we should be calling and using Nelson well ahead of many of the MLS guys. We are lacking creativity in midfield right now.  Technically, he is well ahead of a lot of our players, plus his energy can turn games.

It truly was and the dutch are only going to get better vs us. Koeman has been experimenting with 4-3-3 and 3-5-2.

Verbruggen (the young GK) is not even the guaranteed starter but should be IMO and I think he will. Currently flekken and bijlow have also been considered with no one claiming the spot 100%.

The dutch were also without many key players through injury.
Van de Ven - His speed would be tough for us but he likely doesnt start over ake timber/de vrij - The are both more comfortable than de ligt at RCB in a 3 and usually have been starting over de ligt.  Hartman/maatsen/malacia - Hartman is likely the lwb starter. Blind is a weak spot defensivley and doesnt provide an attacking threat other than his superior ball progression  Frenkie de jong - rolls royce midfielder koopmeiners - top player for atlanta and can do everything. 10 goals from midfield already... hasnt really clicked with the national team.  gravenberch - outside shot for the national team berghuis and bergwijn - depth players with some creativity Lang - lots of optimism on him. He has the creative spark the dutch seem to lack without depay zirkzee and brobbey - 2 big boy strikers. Should both be significantly better than weghorst Now add in the fact that
Reijders was tired and playing slightly out of position Gakpo on the bench Simons on the bench The dutch could step up a few gears by the time we play them.

    ake van dijk de vrij
    Hartman/maatsen frenkie reijnders dumfries/frimpong

    malen/lang depay/brobbey/zirkzee gakpo/xavi

Qualifying Forge for CCL via Concacaf League is way more impressive than anything Biello has accomplished as a manager

Didn't Smyrniotis start his coaching career at Olympiakos in like 2002? Biello started as an assistant coach 10 years later. Smyrniotis started Sigma in 2005 and he's helped develop quite a few of the top players Canada has produced. I know you hate CPL, but Bobby was contributing to Canadian soccer long before it started.

I saw that in Sport or El Periódico today, and thought the same thing.
We could hire him for Copa, but we'd have to pay him half a million. Half a milion for the friendlies, Copa, then let him decide. As a gesture of good will. Then he'd help us leverage the friendlies at home to generate revenue. And of course his presence would attract sponsors, interest from outside.
We probably do not have more than a million for that post, and we don't have enough for his assistants. Too bad, it'd be a fun ride.

Agreed.  Peru and Chile are both in danger of missing the 2026 world cup, although Bolivia will probably give them a good run for the money in this department.  Still lots of games left in the CONMEBOL qualifiers, but Peru sit at the bottom, and Chile are 3rd.  Neither team qualified for Qatar (Peru lost in the intercontinental playoff if I recall).  It feels like Chile has an older squad and is in a transition period to a new generation.  They have Peru's previous manager, Gareca, who led Peru to qualification in 2018.

Canada is more than capable of winning a game against these teams.
