JBR reacted to ahmedou in Friendly match: Canada vs Panama - Tuesday, October 15th - 7:30pm Eastern / 4:30pm Pacific - Toronto
I'll tell Osorio to sign a paper and write ''for my biggest fan Anthony''. And I'mma take a picture of Osorio with the signed paper ''for my biggest fan Anthony''. Just to piss off Anthony #007.

JBR got a reaction from ahmedou in Expanded Gold Cup 2025
Probably the right call. Toronto fans can be fussy and some teams would not draw well.
On the other hand, a half empty NFL stadium will look worse to a global audience.
Admittedly, I am making the assumption that fans wont travel from their home cities for this tournament to boost attendance? But maybe that will change with this new Hollywood-style format and rebranding of the CWC?

more like 29 times...or along the same trajectory over a shorter stretch.
Granted, he's been putting up zeros for 10 games... so it wouldn't take much from JRR or Tani to get us talking.

Different game if Berna and Insigne actually converted their chances. Pretty unclutch as per usual

JBR got a reaction from ahmedou in Jesse Marsch: CanMNT manager
Yes agreed. When Mexico was trying the long balls the other night, it seemed like they were relying on film from the 2022 Bahrain or Belgium game; of Kamal or Vittoria getting burned over top. Our new and improved backline is the story of 2024 (+Marsch+ KBlue). I'm optimistic that Cyle regains his form, Tani emerges as a threat, or JRR steps in and lights it up. If Junior was healthy this summer, maybe we would have had 1-2 goals off set pieces. Exciting times ahead.

Can you stop with the fucking Israel stuff? You can't go a thread without and seems really like you're just an anti semite.
Jewish schools and synagogues are being shot up in this country and this sort of rhetoric is the is the stuff being echoed by the people doing it.

Sorry to keep this topic going...but it was bothering me in light of the last 48 hours.
"If you live in a glass house, don't throw stones"
Canada has no moral high ground as it relates to domestic Human Rights (our treatment of indigenous populations and recent treatment of refugees for example) nor Fair play. Our opinions matter not to FIFA/Ukraine/Russia/Israel/Hamas. Just stay humble and worry about ourselves and improving our own society and sporting standards. We aren't the worlds (morality) police force or peacekeepers. Signed, a proud Canadian.

Perhaps we should leave politics off this board. The world is messed up enough as it is. I visit this board to distract myself through following football.

JBR reacted to narduch in Canada and the 2024 Copa America
I don't think we have to worry about that.
They often pick their guests by a pre-set criteria. Like being a Gold Cup winner/finalist.
If anything its up to us to keep getting good results.

God what an opportunity this game is tonight..
-winning and advancing being the obvious one
-guaranteeing 2 more games which will allow us to gain so much more experience playing 8 games in just over a month
-another match with the defending World Cup champions and then no matter what happens in that game, barring a huge upset by Panama, playing one of Brazil, Uruguay or Colombia too
-the financial gains which are so desperately needed
-the world wide recognition this will have and hopefully trickle down effect for better friendlies moving forward
-the confidence gained heading into a home World Cup in ‘26
I’m sure I’m missing a few more but this is just so huge outside of the game itself. Will be a tough game. Starting to feel the stress already

I'm hoping JRR is an option for some offence. He seems so far down the depth chart but that's who i would choose to mix it up if we needed something late.
