Would be cool to send a MLS based squad to this tournament Kinda like the US did a couple years ago. If we win the Nations league with our A-team only though. If the boys can't get it done in Vegas I would like them to go for it in July. Bottom line is we need a trophy. We're past the the "good job" phase.

If we're being honest here I think the only reason Justin Smith committed to the U20s was to showcase his ability and possibly get picked up for Qatar. That and he's not good enough for France, which is no knock on him we're talking about the World Cup Champions. He certainly could have used this time to prepare for OGC Nice's preseason. Their first game is next Saturday.

Only positive from this tournament is we got to see Justin Smith and as far as I'm concerned he's the only out of this lot that has a future with the Senior team.

My wild prediction is that the minnows of the Caribbean will form their own confederation and operate like Oceania. Islands like St Kitts and Aruba shouldn't be competing in CONCACAF anyways with all due respect.

The future of CONCACAF is a merger with CONMEBOL to some degree.

The only thing I can think of is maybe they don't want other U20 coaching staff getting any scouting reports on us for the summer, and probably explains the lack of media coverage from the Costa Rican side.

People seem to forget this fact but Belgium was not a traditional powerhouse in football before this golden generation. Historically they've always been in the mix of teams you would respect but they never had an elite core that could bang with anyone on the planet. It's their last REAL dance and I'm sure they know it. Which is why I'm not expecting an upset with them. The team we have to capitalize on is Croatia.

Can someone tell us why CSA deemed it unnecessary to put in a little more effort into showcasing these friendlies? What negatives would they get out of showing lineups, videos, more pictures, etc.

It is sad that I'm more disappointed in the Costa Ricans not providing a stream for these friendlies? I mean this is their No.1 sport after all, featuring what I would imagine to be the top prospects of their local league.

Is Pellegrino training with the 1st team? I don't think anybody reported on him moving up yet but I could be wrong.

As long as our expectations are. I will be content with 3-4 points this window. We are due for a loss anyways, did anybody really think we were going to finish the octagonal with no losses? Its going to be a bumpy ride from here on out.

This is the lineup we dominated the USMNT in at the Gold Cup. Yes it was missing Mckennie and Adams in the midfield but it was still a squad that had Robinson, Acosta, LLetget etc guys who are going to get minutes against and possibly start. Our strength was never in the middle anyways so even if we did have Eustaquio the Americans would play us off the park. Their Achilles heels is the wing and as long as everyone else is there (Buchanan, Laryea, Adekugbe, Millar, etc) we should be fine IMO. I still believe missing Davies is more detrimental as teams had to game plan for him. USMNT don't have to game against Stephen they just need to play the MMA midfield and that equation is solved.

In the grand scheme of things we can afford a "stinker" window of 3 points that puts us at 19 total and around 3rd or 4th spot. We know that last game against Panama was always going to be the decider.

Exactly, his offensive game will develop immensely playing with quality wingers and strikers, understanding when and where to feed them. Thru the channels, a quick volley, dribbling and bringing the defenders towards, etc.
