It is beyond Crazy to see a highly sought after Canadian youth player, getting attention from the biggest clubs in Europe, disclose their current goals as to make it to Qatar and crack into the Canadian national team… 
when has a Canadian wonder kid ever had their number one goal as breaking into the CANMNT. I can’t be the only one that finds the humour in this. Just another sign of the times that this program is different. 

Jonny’s name is trending in footy Twitter. I suppose that’s what you get when you’re the only name on the squad that outlets know will get clicks. 
Nevertheless, starting to get really excited. Seeing the titles of “Can Jonathan David slay the dragon” or “Will Jonathan David be the difference tonight at the Bridge” really drives home the fact that this is Canadian soccer now. The fact that THOSE are the headlines coming out of London, Chelsea for heavens sakes, is extremely telling of where this program and the footy culture in Canada is heading.

Keep in mind people, Phonzie was back on campus yesterday for his four weeks assessment. We are expecting news from Julien in his presser after the match today against Bochum. Be on the look out for that news, this also means we could know his fate for the last window as early as today so hoping for the best. 
Second, it almost makes me uncomfortable to see Herc just sing our praises so hard. Maybe its because I've become accustomed to feeling like the victim of CONCACAF and cant accept acknowledgement, but it was slightly unsettling. 

I was going to clarify and then got distracted by Olympics.  I just meant that it was right to overturn the PK.
But once that is done I am not sure it is an option to give the corner because the play was initially deemed a foul at the point the ball contacted the defender - the play ended immediately at that point.  Not sure what is the proper thing to do, but her basic options are to award a corner (which may not be an option), do a drop kick either in or on the edge of the box (pretty controversial), award the attackers a free kick in a very dangerous spot (highly advantageous to them considering their last play ended legitimately), or give the defending team a free kick.  The last option may seem odd but it is probably the least likely to singlehandedly affect the outcome of the game once the PK was deemed unwarranted.
