Approve My Account Pls reacted to dyslexic nam in Copa America: Canada vs Venezuela - Friday, July 5th - 9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific - Arlington, Texas
That noise you are hearing is the sound of me not being the least bit sympathetic about you being cold at the World Cup in Qatar.

Approve My Account Pls reacted to Buchta in NEW Mother of all Canucks Abroad (and domestic)
Stefan Lazovic (17 years old) has been included in the Radnicki Nis (1st team) training camp in Bulgaria.

He scored 6 goals in 28 games last season as an attacking midfielder for Nis U19.

Those are terrible and make me appreciate our shirt even more.

Approve My Account Pls reacted to Kent in Canada and the 2024 Copa America
I can guarantee you that if Venezuela wins that group, we will get Venezuela in the quarters... because of the rules of the tournament.

Approve My Account Pls reacted to Dominic94 in Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty
Let’s write him off at 20 when he’s being forced out of need into a position that he clearly cannot play, on teams that are awful.
That Shaf guy was rotation too right ? Same with MacNaughton?

Not sure if any of you saw his interview after the game, but wow, talk about humble. All he talked about was how lucky he was to come on when it was cooler, getting to play on the shady side, no idea how the guys managed 90 out there because was completely gassed after 45, full credit to the guys who played before him, etc. Really impressed by his character.

Approve My Account Pls reacted to DeRo_Is_King in Stephen Eustaquio
I never get emotional about the personal lives of players. But what Eustaquio has gone through in the last couple years and only in his mid-20s is a lot. Losing both parents during dream tournaments in your career, it has to be a complete rollercoaster. And out of everyone, at least at Copa, Staq has performed better than most of our guys. Such a solid mind. All I can say, as a fan, is thank you for keeping it together.

I think that's what happens when you play Netherlands, France and Argentina in a matter of a few weeks. Lots of eyeballs on you.
I've never seen so many rumours about our players, seems a new 1 or 2 every day.

I know it doesn't actually change the player, but a CB partnership of Lyon-Feyenoord seems alot more formidable than Colorado-Malmo

Lyon and Botafogo. There's two clubs I never thought I would read in the same sentence.

It's a good League Two squad. I think it's a great move, it means at least League One for next year. Not bad for a 20 year old CB (if he gets minutes).

The trick isn't getting healthy - it is staying healthy. Fingers crossed he can escape the injuries for an extended period.

I think wearing the armband is pretty telling how he’s viewed at the club. I’ve been bullish on Saliba because he fills a need, he suits Jesse Marsch’s style, and Montreal has proof of concept for developing young CM’s.

Linked to Roma, Marseille and West Ham. Tweet says he’s “one of the most appreciated midfielders in Europe”.

I think it's insane that his own fanbase is crucifying him as much as they are.
There is no one else who has Kone's potential. I didn't think Kone's problems last night were entirely self-inflicted...they were due to the pressure Argentina put on him, plus the formation Canada plays where he has outsized responsibilities. Maybe some unforced mistakes...but in a situation where it makes sense, nobody but the goalkeeper and the centre-backs were under more pressure to perform at a high level, every touch.
And I also don't see any replacement doing nearly as well as he can. Even with Kone's biggest mistakes...Piette would have been absolute fodder...is there a part of the fanbase that insist Choniere, or someone else, would have been superior, against that pressure?
I have zero issues with Kone continuing to start, and also finish, Cope matches. If coaches do otherwise, that would be very surprising.

He did have a poor game but in my eyes, you're breaking trust if the first time a player has a poor game you pull them for someone who didn't even come off the bench. I think he's earned a lot more than.
I'd add that he was frustrated with himself too, so its not like he would disagree with the assessment. I'd put my trust in him to rebound!
