Possible career altering performance. He just dominated Camavinga who was just starting for the champions league champions.. he continues to perform like this at the copa this man will be making the big move sooner then expected. 

This dude made his MLS debut this year, and just a few months later was stepping on the field against France and playing against guys like Mbappe, Griezmann and Camavinga.  What a crazy development.  Happy for the guy - and glad Marsch got him on the field.  

The interviewer keeps wanting him to be apologetic, or give a good explanation why he's not going with Bolivia, but he holds true. That he grew up in Canada, refers to his mother, that Canada had given him a lot and that he'd always wanted to play for Canada. Does not seem bothered that he may lose club minutes, says the coach seems fine with it. 
Only thing he concedes, when the guy says he'll lose all chance of representing Bolivia, is that you never know, but he says it quickly and does not make excuses.
I like his attitude and he's clearly thrilled by the call-up, he seems very happy to get it.

It's a crazy question right now when it comes to our players not just Kone.. there has been a conversation in our house atm about where it would be better to goto a premier league team and be a squad player ..to have to fight to get playing time and hope for an opportunity and take advantage of it..or goto a top 3/4 Championship team looking to get promoted and be the main man(or one of them...
And yes there are both options atm...
 
I guess the point i'm making do you go to Roma and maybe not play loads of mins right away(ala Tajon) but be in an amazing enviroment and be surrounded by great players and take your chance or take a smaller step up to lets say Udinese and then take another step...

So far he's delivering on exactly what he's promised and has been a huge breath of fresh air. Interesting to start to learn what some his novel ideas for streams of revenue are. Have to give him full credit, for a federation that has given the federal government a run for its money in incompetence and bureaucracy, he has moved swiftly and effectively. A great hire so far.
 

When Blue was hired, he mentioned finding new revenue streams and other methods of funding, and we all sort of wondered what that meant (ie, not the kit deal which is already done, what hasn't been sold to CSB, etc).  So it was sort of fascinating to see how he went about it.  Honestly, should have thought more about how college sports goes about it and looked in to what he'd done at Golf Canada.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know if any other national federation has sold off the "naming rights" to the head coaching position before?  Because honestly...I could see some of them starting to do that now.  Not the traditional/power house/rich ones, but certainly some of the federations more strapped for cash (and/or corrupt).
I know there's another thread about "funding", but honestly I couldn't bring myself to resurrect that currently dormant one...
