Other game that I watched this morning. Great late comeback for Crewe. Back three and he was on the right side. Bromley didn't do much attacking after an early lead.
He was very good. Even stepped up to intercept a ball past half and then took a shot from outside the box that the goalie made a great save on.
With LDF not getting a loan, JKL looks like the young CB to watch right now

  2. Thanks

Millar was great. By far the liveliest attacker for Hull. It was just a tight defensive game by two teams that should be vying for the Promotion playoffs. Hull needs to start scoring though

Millar has been lively for Hull
Leeds playing well at both ends

Looking dangerous again in the start against Leeds.
Lots of good runs and an effort or two, though his fullback seems to be getting frustrated at not getting the ball more often (😄you're the defender, mate)

I did say the Italian language.
But Sicilian and Neapolitan are also written phonetically. You may be confused by the fact that the vocabulary and grammar of the regional languages are not the same as "official" Italian. For instance, Sorrento is an Italian construction. In Neapolitan it is written and pronounced as Surriento. Another example is Naples itself. In Italian it is Napoli. In Neapolitan it is Napule. I know this because of my parents. Although they were not Neapolitan, they did come from a region that bordered Naples and was heavily influenced by it. In our house, Naples was our capital, not Rome.
On a personal note. I grew up speaking Neapolitan and learned "official" Italian at Sunday school. In my old age I have a great fondness for Neapolitan. I love the sound of it. The official Italian grates on my nerves. I detest it.

Italian is definitely easier to learn, yet provides so much more flexibility and preciseness (even without the hand gestures) on top of being more eloquent and logical than any others I've had to learn.

As someone who spoke Italian (and French) for the first 6 years of my life, it was a shock to be introduced to English and its nonsensical written phonetics.  Italian you read it as it is written ALL THE FUCKING TIME. French most of the time. English hardly ever. I can empathize with the character in that clip.

I remember someone describing reading French as you read the start of the word and just ignore the last few letters. Seems pretty spot on with my limited French knowledge.

Stayed on the bench as Granada lost to visiting Huesca 1-3. Reports say there were reffing errors, but also rate the entire Granada squad low.
Hopefully as they try to shake things up they'll choose him more.

I don’t recall the exact timelines any more, but I think the fact that they kept him with the first team instead of sending him out on loan, where he could have had a lot more playing time, greatly limited his development.

I sometimes wonder how David Edgar's career might have unfolded if he hadn't spent four years on the bench in the Premiership. I'd hate to see the same thing happen to Fougerolles.

They did that last season though. If he can hold his own vs Uruguay he's ready to play this yr somewhere.

Praying DJ makes his national team decision quick, if I have to be bothered to keep an eye on Watford, it better be for good reason.

While you're right, but 2 inches is a big deal and we've barely seen Bair.
I just want to increase the odds of a real big man playing with David (especially in a 442), as I think Larins time as the guy is waning.

Jebbo has been out of the game for almost a whole season. It's going to take him sometime to get back to a level where he can perform well for his club or for Canada if he switches. He has good height, but looked wafer thin vs the West Ham CBs. Needs 10/15 games of regular playing time, score a couple goals &  get stronger before he can make a contribution. Striker is one position where we currently have a few options.

    We're saying this since 2020
We're saying this after 8 transfer windows
    And we're still in denial
    One day we'll accept it

Canadian Marc Do Santos continuously chose central midfielder and Americans Andy Rose over Derick Cornelius at center back. I wasn't a huge fan of Cornelius, but Rose was always bad and a terrible choice. In other words, some times managers (especially early in their careers at a new level) just make bad choices.

@Bigandy & @Obinna I'm all in with Marsch, he's done and said everything right.  I wouldn't dare criticize anything with CANMNT to this point.  Full marks.  I was also thrilled with his nomination.
Like you say, club football is not like national teams where you can't trade for someone.  But, past experience can and does give indicators. Just an example to help explain my concern... back with the Impact he'd start Davy Arnaud and Coleen Warner ahead of Patrice Bernier, it happened several times and raised lots of eyebrows.  It left a mark, it was completely unjustifiable and just one example.  From my point of view, McGraw, Waterman and McNaughton are all close or similar levels with each offering a specific skillset or lack of.  I wouldn't go all nuts over that.  While I haven't seen anything to indicate US bias will happen with CANMNT, I'm just really paranoid and hope we never get to the point we start asking those questions, cause it has happened in the past with Jesse.

Bair is not tiny, from my recollection.
And has 2 starts in a better league.
