Premier League is a different beast to the Championships.  Better opponents and greater competition within the team.

Transfermarket is not useless. They give Zavaleta a higher value than Mavinga. Clearly it's a credible resource!

Just imagine Zambrano as a coach with all of these players ! .

Playing in Colombia and in the Copa Libertadores does bring some additional value to Osorio as a player that he can't get here in the MLS.  But it does not make sense to loan him out if we cannot use him in the CONCACAF Champions League next year.  Playing in Mexico is similar enough to South America.  If we had lost the Canadian Cup this year than I would consider the loan even if it risked Osorio missing the beginning of the regular season.

“We’re sad, we wanted more. we failed. Love Portugal, Thanks for everything.”
I know we should probably take this with a grain a salt in a post of disappointment but maybe implying that his Portugal days are done?

It will be interesting to follow Eustaquio now that Portugal have been eliminated from the U21 European Championship.  Essentially his time with Portugal u21 has come to an end.

I would say based solely on the fact the Coach is familiar with the player and has history with him.  I haven't heard of any other South American teams inquiring about him.  The Zambrano effect.  To be honest, Zambrano may say he has the quality to play for Medellin game in and game out but thats just part of recruitment.  I'm not sure Osorio would factor that much into regular games for them, although I could be wrong.

Herdman better be talking to him, in an interview with Sportsnet he stated that “We have a plan in place of when we should talk to them” So in this case the timing is right
Best case scenario: He files his one time switch and we see him in March! Also moves to sporting Lisbon to further his career

I agree.  However, whether its true or not, I do not see Toronto FC pulling the trigger on this even if its beneficial for them in the long-run.  I don't think it will fly with management and majority of fans.  As from a Canadian MNT standpoint, I believe it would be beneficial.  As for Osorio, the idea of playing in Colombia the country his parents are from is probably something that would really interest him.

This statement is very accurate.  Although the money brings in many top domestic players from South America, the overall level in Colombia is still remains higher than the MLS.
Just look at how Mexican teams have dominated the Concacaf Champions League but historically have rarely made it to the Quarter Finals in the Copa Libertadores (Tigres made a run a few years back).  Colombian teams have won the 3 Copa Libertadores titles including a title 2 years ago.
I'm not saying that some of the top MLS teams couldn't complete in the Colombian league but overall the Colombian league is still stronger.

This is why we cannot win in central America. The rest of concacaf is at that mental level, and we are outsiders looking in, in so many ways. We are foreigners in our own region.  We cannot match that intensity, that desire, that fear of losing, and the experience of playing in such situations.
We will need more than Herdman's brain room to get to where we need to be. But we can get there.

Im trying to figure out what this conversation is all about and its a little tough to follow. To me its simple, if your a TFC fan and you value him, you wouldnt want him to go. From a CMNT perspective, who cares, he's 26 and has maxed out, let him play where he likes. Copa Libs rocks and i think startingnext year it will be on DAZN. So you can still follow him

You're mixing economics with level of play. Players will favor more pay and better living conditions for themselves and family most of the time. MLS, Canada and US offers that but that doesn't mean there's a direct correlation between economics and level of play.

I strongly disagree with your premise that MLS is at level or better... strongly.
