Cowtown Kyle reacted to The Beaver 2.0 in Stephen Eustaquio
This is what is most exciting to see from our young-ish players: taking their opportunities and growing when they go up a level. That is a sign of an excellent mindset and significant talent. Stephen's growth will benefit us massively going forward.

Cowtown Kyle got a reaction from johnyb in Stephen Eustaquio
He had a beauty of a shot a few minutes ago from about 25 yards out. Keeper dove and got a hand on it, preventing the shot from curling inside the post.

He almost just scored from top of box a few mins ago! He one-time volleyed a ball just off the ground and put it wide about a foot or so.
You can see his confidence growing in this game. Very impressive performance on the road against Atletico

Sad to see you can’t even step on a guy’s head with cleats anymore, due to wokeness and cancel culture

Cowtown Kyle reacted to An Observer in Theo Corbeanu
I think the other thing to consider is what each player brings. From Herdman’s comments, I think he thinks Koleosho brings something different than what we have. I suspect Corbeanu is closer in style to Davies and Buchanan so not sure he is as interesting. Of course, a lot will depend on form

Cowtown Kyle reacted to Unnamed Trialist in Lucas Cavallini
He's not a liability, he's an asset.
He gets into this mode when he's inefficient or the team is doing badly. He did not cost the team last night, that is on a a whole set of others.
He is a bit like a hockey enforcer at times, he thinks he needs to shake things up. It's a misinterpretation, but better that than listless indifference.
Sometimes this way he has is good when the rival is frustrated, he can get under their skin. He is a tough body for a CB to deal with late in a match; he's also a distraction, occupying attention, opening up space for others. He can get the game into a positive mode if the team is defending a result.
He's a lot fitter IMO than he was last year, as well, so that helps, and he's scoring better.

Cowtown Kyle reacted to Colliedor in Match Thread: CONCACAF U-20 - Round of 16 - Canada v Guatemala - June 26, 2022 - 4pm ET/1pm PT
In the end of the day, just like every youth team, only about 2-3 players will actually be in contention with the men's team in the future. Whether as depth or starters, we'll have to wait and see.
Despite playing poorly as a team, you can still look at the individuals. There are still players that show some promise and will most likely play better with a more experienced team around them. Still time to learn and grow.

Cowtown Kyle reacted to Free kick in Intercontinental Playoffs
the groups are now all set. Four Concacaf teams go to the WC, that's the part I like. The part i dont like, this ticos side is hard to root for.

Cowtown Kyle reacted to JamboAl in Intercontinental Playoffs
Credit to the Kiwis. They were down to 10 men and basically bossed the game. Reminds me of the game we had in San Jose although we came closer to scoring.
The Ticos will be in trouble in November.

Cowtown Kyle reacted to InglewoodJack in Concacaf Nations League Match #2: Honduras v Canada - Monday, 13 June, 7 pm PT / 10 pm ET - San Pedro Sula
You can physically play soccer in the cold ie when you kick the ball, it will roll on the pitch like it’s supposed to. You can also play in the pouring rain. What you can’t do is play on a pitch that is so waterlogged the ball can’t travel. The equivalency of what we did is if Honduras scheduled the game at high noon and forced us to play in 45 degree humidity. The equivalency of what Honduras did last night was if we played in -15, but also straight up didn’t shovel the pitch.

My family is from Italy but I was raised here in Canada so I count myself as a Canadian - Italian . If I was a talented Soccer player and had most of my Training here in Canada before I ventured to Europe . and lets say my talent level was in the Alphoso Davies range , I would choose Canada without any hesitation, why It will be a huge slap in the face to all the coaches who were probably volunteers , that spent time helping me out , My friends and family on both sides of the Atlantic would probably be very pissed at me If I choose to play for another country other than Canada .

Anyone else have a feeling that JH doesn’t think he is worth the potential headache his father may cause? Just a feeling on my end.
