That is great to see, always thought it was a little cheesy having TFC in the name of different clubs. The TFC colors and style are there while giving the club its own identity.

When I read this, it reminded me of her dad's days with Argos in 1995 when Brett suited up in 5 games for the Double Blue. I actually was able to find an autograph he signed for me from that season. He previously played for the Packers and Rams, appearing in 27 NFL games. Wishing Sydney all the best in her pursuit of cracking the national team roster. She is certainly is on the right path. 

Electric City had pros last season, with Zach Ellis Hayden, Jordon Brown, Jordan Webb that come to mind. Electric City took a really ambitious approach heading to their first season, with a lot of how long would it take to get into CPL. Their president Rob Jenkins who was really pushing it re-signed and as such not sure what the approach is at this point.

Absolutely , CSB threw the CSA a lifeline when they really needed it. It was not until they caught fire during the WCQ campaign did things really take off in terms of exposure and interest both from the general public and corporate partners. It is a double edged sword. If the CMNT do not qualify for Qatar there is nothing to see here. A smart business person would have had some escape clauses in any deal like this but maybe it was a non-starter for CSB. Why throw a lifeline like they did if CSA can just bolt for the best deal two-three years down the line if things get good. It is unfortunate where things are now, but reality is up to the last year or two things were not going in the right direction.

A league is a minor league when players view it as a stepping stone to a higher level. We here in Canada have a two tier D1 soccer system. They may be both D1 in name but make no mistake there is a huge difference between the two. It develops players and then allows them to stay home like Oso, making some pretty good money. In the past these type guys would be bouncing around the world playing in all sorts of different places, some good, some bad. MLS and CPL compliment each other in that they keep players playing in Canada at very different stages of their careers. That is pretty cool if you ask me.

The She Believes Cup is a USSF property and if they women were not to play, it would be a strain on the CSA's relationship with their counterparts to the south. Tickets have been sold, TV slots are booked, the other three teams are set to go. It would not look good to have this happen so close to it all starting. 

Especially after they already knew HFX was not going to be able to host in the first round. What also jumps out is HFX is already in Ottawa for their league opener four days earlier. This makes no sense at all. 
Now two fan bases are facing a trek to Toronto for a 5 pm kickoff on a Wednesday because of this situation. As a Toronto native I am looking forward to a VCup double header but feel for the Ottawa fans due to this very correctable technicality. 

Have to think at least some if not many may sit out the March Nation's League matches to make a statement. Would the team falling to the B League really show the CSA what they need to do? There is no National team without the players.

Same thing happened for the PDL/USL 2 teams with the US Open Cup, some pulled out of it because of it. Should have played at least the Semi-Finals and Finals in the fall like what the US Open Cup is also doing.
