Bikerack got a reaction from Unnamed Trialist in NEW Mother of all Canucks Abroad (and domestic)
I'm curious if Zambrano has reached out yet? Would be a solid addition to our player pool

The whole Dutch single citizenship thing might be a pain. His father would have to look into his Canadian citizenship status, but being born here he should have no problem. Then Bijker needs to get his Canadian citizenship. Might be hard, might not be.

Three pages in Dutch...the lines referring to his link to Canada should be posted

Interesting, Bijker left Heerenveen to sign with Cadiz in the Spanish 2nd Division. A LB born in '93, he played in 2 matches for Netherlands U21 squad. Definitely worth a look.

Bikerack reacted to Grizzly in Ballou Tabla
Anonymous sources close to Grizzly have reported that he will be named new Impact head coach this week and his first move will be to start AJH for the next 4 games to see if he can be a starting striker! Tabla will be playing as the keeper to punish him for too many articles written about him based on unnamed sources and for not committing to Canada!
All this discussion about a short article citing unnamed sources. It may or may not be true like half of the stories like this but often these stories are just a journalist trying to create material to write about. Or it may be placed by people around Tabla without his knowledge or a thousand other variations such as third hand information not properly transmitted. There needs to be a much better source or someone asking Tabla himself before we give too much credence to such reports.

This is pretty expected, he's Championship starter quality but he didn't get consistent playing time at Falkirk because they have incredible depth on the wing. This is a good move for him.

PS. Goteburg is a big club, one of Sweden's biggest and historically the most important. Leave aside their current situation in standings, their potential is the highest in the Allesvenskan.

I hope him not playing doesn't sour him on the national team.

Bikerack reacted to ThiKu in Michael Petrasso
For me Petrasso is the biggest and best tournament surprise. Davies has 3 goals from open play, and that's wonderful but TBH not totally unexpected. Petrasso being a fairly dominant defender at right back - now that solves a tonne of CMNT problems!

Twitter is reporting that Once Caldas did not sign Nicolas Galvis after his tryout but that he is signing with Deportivo Perreira in the second division of Colombia.

Bikerack reacted to Stryker911 in Ricardo Ferreira
Imagine where our defence would be if Vitoria hadn't committed. We would have Jakovic and James as our 2 starting centre backs. Now imagine if we had Vitoria and a 24 year old Ferreria. That would get pretty solid pretty quick.

Bikerack reacted to shermanator in Samuel Piette
No arguments from me on this. Will be real interesting to see where he signs. I would be disappointed if he was back at Izarra for another year, although another year of close to 3000 minutes wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Bikerack reacted to ReedOnTheGrand in Amer Didic
Starting watching SPR games to watch Didic. He is a very calm defender who stays deep and only comes up when necessary. He tends to spread the ball quickly and far when in possession instead of holding on. He also holds possession very well and moves to the goalies side to give him an option when the goalie has the ball at his feet.
He's really impressed he in the 2 and a half matches of his i watched. Hopefully he can get some minutes with SKC but if not I wouldn't be that surprised to see him at another team within the next year or so. Definitely a player I could see starting for Canada. He could probably do with stepping in a bit more often.

Bikerack reacted to Floortom in Scott Arfield
I know it's early in his tenure, but Arfield is easily one of the 3 most impactful position players I have seen in my time of watching the CANMNT.
thank god for Strachan not calling him into Scotlands squad

Definition of dishonesty: when reality proves you wrong, and when even you realize this, go hide in a hole somewhere and never admit you perhaps slightly erred. All we are asking is that just one of these so-called Canada fans has the balls to admit they were speaking out of their asses (all quotes from Voyageurs on this thread in the last 10 months).
toontownman: A broken clock is right twice a day right?
Olympique_de_Marseille: ...decent but never stellar pretty much every game I've found. Very average.
Floortom: seems to have plenty of fans here and in the program for reasons totally beyond my comprehension.
yothat: he sucks ... haven't seen anything that inspires confidence consider on the national team camps n playing time
finchster. Piette is not a good player unfortunately
Vince193: he's not a prospect anymore.
Moldy9: I think he's too slow and doesn't provide much.
1Knight: I don't see too much room for growth
Jahinho Guerro: yawn....so many more players playing in 3rd, 4th divisions...I haven't seen anything technical about his game that shows hes playing in the a "better playing style" country.
BearcatSA:
Or feature on a CIS team, which seems to be a growing trend with former Canadian MLS Academy members, if he doesn't catch on in NASL or another NA league.
BigM: He wasn't special in a mediocre team in a 80 team third tier
1996: Sorry but seriously come on this guy has never impressed me, never!
Soccerpro: He's just a spot filler for the CMNT because we have no quality

i think the age rule might apply for OKC/USL as well since its a visa issue
