I gotta say, it is so nice to follow a situation where teams are looking to sign a Canadian as opposed to what we are used to, a Canadian looking to sign for a team! 

I know he gets a lot of flack for his NT performances , but I'm so happy that he is getting so much interest from decent clubs in decent leagues. It's very exciting to see all these offers come up 
 Hopefully there will be a lot more Canadian kids developing through MLS and working there way up

I'd be happy with either Gladbach or Besiktas. Guessing Gladbach (a shrewdly run club) caught wind of how low the fee is going to be for Larin and see an opportunity for investment.

Riding the pine for the MLS champions in the playoffs is way better than sitting home in Montreal watching it on TV. Ideally, the Impact will make the post-season in 2018, with Edwards playing more of a role. Don't discount the value of playing a bit-part on a Championship team. The CanMNT needs players in winning environments.

You have to admit, it is a great idea.  And with a player like that, we might even get a guy like Hoilett to finally commit.  I am going to send a fax to the CSA suggesting they pursue this.

To be fair his apparent ability only came to light in the last couple of months since joining Leixoes in the 2nd tier.  Prior to that it was asking a lot of Canada's coaching/scouting staff to focus on a 19 year-old in the 3rd tier.  Portugal were clearly not that interested, either.
I'm sure Canada has/will get in contact to let him to let him know we are following his progress.  But yes, Stephen is likely a future project as far as the CMNT is concerned.

i think its good to note that since the coaching change, Javor is 2-1-1 (1-1-1 in the league) and Derek has seen the pitch in every game(0 minutes prior and the team was 1-1-8). Lets hope this keeps up and he keeps developing into a quality player

Still it's a small sample size. I think he got a well deserved raise. I mean  he was making 66k and will now be making around 165k next year. (Heard he was making around what Bernier is making) I think paying for a striker who has had 1 good MLS year.is risky.
