  1. For sure…there’s a really weird hatemob out against him. Critique his 200 minutes, and neglect others “shorter” comings. It’s beyond me….actually it isn’t, because I’ve said multiple times I understand why. We can’t bring up where guys play as a barometric for why xyz…I’ve done that in the past already. If that was the case Richie Ennin would’ve been in the squad. You cant hold criticism to the sporadic call ups, and then turn a blind eye to the regulars. It’s ass backwards.
  2. Out of the “second” unit he’s has the most opportunities, and has had several starts. The problem is he hasn’t taken advantage of them. He hasn’t showed out like he can or like Buchanan did when he got the opportunity….or even like how Corbeanu played. I feel he lacks the confidence, and battles between two minds it seems. Like there was a play when it was a breakout, a pass from Kone set him free to a 1v1 and he was indecisive and he got jammed by the defender. It’s moments like that where I’m like go on kid, take him , take him like you e done at Basel, take him like you’ve done at Charlton….he may need a run of games to get comfortable but this is international ball. You gotta take advantage of the time you get.
  3. Name the players who don’t play the same position for their clubs, and don’t name Davies go! Again I’ll say it, you clearly don’t watch him if your suggesting that you want to see him at CF. Who are the players that we are developing that aren’t in the current pool? All I’m saying is I watched both guys play, and my reaction was the exact same of jonovision. Nobody’s performance stood out as good or bad…. so put the pitchforks away.
  4. Because Millar only plays on one side! He plays down the left and is effective down the left. He play CF at youth ball at Liverpool but professionally hasnt been deployed there other than a few times at the Killies. He likes the option of cutting in on his right, which he does a lot. Im convinced a lot of you haven’t really watched his club football, but just tune into fotmob.
  5. What did everyone think of Liam’s 16th appearance? He’s been at almost every Herdman camp possible albeit maybe 1 or 2. I personally hate that I always bring him up, but it’s literally for this reason/comparison. Or even Ike Ugbo….it’s so easy to scrutinize Brym and turn a blind eye to others. Theres a reason why Herdman rates him, and tbh I believe he’ll come good - maybe not by Qatar and but that’s fine in my eyes.
  6. I wonder, a lot of you must not like Ray Hudson? I think his style is entertaining.
  7. By Canadian networks I was including Onesoccer…. I thought I seen someone mention it not being on there reason for my question.
  8. So it’s confirmed this won’t be on any Canadian networks, and as a result we’ll have to resort to streams?
  9. He's not just a striker! He's a versatile player that can play LW, RW, or ST. I'm not praising the kid, but like I said before you guys have to keep the same expectation and criticism for guys who have had A LOT more opportunities than him, and hasn't done "much" with it.
  10. Naw I still like/prefer him at RCB for Canada. He’s behind too many guys for me to play on the outside Laryea, Buchanan, Hoilett, and even Millar.
  11. I don’t understand this hate for this guy…I guess it’s just something to do. Hes done well in his limited minutes, nothing questionable nothing spectacular but in his 217 minutes he has goal. I know a guy that I guess he’s someone that is just easily to “pick on” here while neglecting other players lack of contributions in greater opportunities.
  12. Only God can say! Bryce Anderson was projected to have a high ceiling, and it turned out to be high enough to throw pizzas in the air. All that to say, ceiling talk is pure fantasy.
  13. Those guy fall into the category of “hope and a prayer”. Literally going other federation players (albeit Tomori) instead of focusing on the ones slipping away from under our noses.
  14. I only wanted to speak from the CMNT stand point, because as you point out there can be different interpretations of "gained vs lost" if seen from other federation perspectives. Ike I was going to list but with an asterisk, as it's not fully clear by my definitions. I think he lived here long enough, and played for several youth clubs for him to be considered part of the pool. The fact that he went from Woodbridge to Chelsea is why I'm saying he was probably being tracked. His eligibility was the surprise. Begovic was most definitely a loss in my terms, I just didn't list him because he was outside of the 10 year time frame that I mentioned. Tomori would've been gained, considering he never kicked a ball in Canada, and is Canadian only by birth. Kinda the same way David is American only by birth.
  15. Please no United. He's not what they need, and doesn't need to go there.
  16. Okay I have to air out my feelings in regards to dual nationals and what it means to lose a player vs gained one. Because in the Mitrovic thread (and others alike) and the latest NFP episode 85 where they @Blackjack15 were overstating who we've gained...I've been hearing a misrepresentation of how players are described as lost vs gained. So here's my interpretation.... Lost - is when a player is not only born but also raised in Canada, and has played youth footy for several years in the country is taken by another countries football program. In severe technical terms, these players have in some ways contributed financially to the CSA through youth soccer fees. These players have direct ties to not only the football culture in the country. For example guys like Marmoush, Kadioulgu, Cristante, Tomori, and Bono could never be considered as "lost" because of what is explained above. Gained - is when a player has loose ties to Canada, has never or barely lived in the country or has never played soccer in the country but is eligible to represent the CMNT through ancestral history. For example David, or Akinola could never be considered as "gained" because of what is explained above. Here's some players from each category over the past 10 years. Gained: Pedro Pacheco, Scott Arfield, Jayson Leutwiler, Juan Cordova, David Wotherspoon, Frank Sturing, Cristian Gutierrez, Lucas Koleosho Lost: Jonathan De Guzman, Dominik Yankov, Enes Sali, Stefan Mitrovic, Marcelo Flores So I don't want to hear that "dual nationals" like Hoilett, Davies, St. Clair, were gained! Because these guys have been playing in Canada soccers pyramid before they started their professional football careers. A guy like Corbeanu could be perceived as "gained" but considering the definitions if he chose Romania he would've been considered as lost. Not every player that doesn't join the program is "lost", and not ever player that joins the program is "gained".
  17. Welll…. Next Pro is a glorified u23 league/ reserve league. The USL Championship or the CPL is the step in between.
  18. Damn, I don’t know but I’m guessing Madenburg 2 is in a low league than what hoffenheim was in.
  19. they can barely open the books....and your asking for that transparency lol. I know Dino will probably get tickets
  20. @VinceA we have no purpose for doing these camps....we didn't qualify. (is more than likely the mentality of the CSA)
  21. I'm not doing any list or anything until an announcement is made. Way too much talk.
  22. @johnyb got it spot on. "All we had" years, when me and brother would watch games and see the ball get hoofed from the back and say "go Ricketts go!" I got big respect for the guy like others are saying. I actually hope he could go to Qatar as an ambassador or something. I think he deserves that.
  23. Brym has skill…. I like what I’ve seen of him in his highlight reels. We don’t need one sided speedersters. Especially on the left side which is locked down with multiple options.
