  1. That is one record that is out of reach for him. He doesn't have the liberty of playing Luxemborg and Lithuania..
  2. You know what they'll do.....give the Canadian teams more allocation money 🙄
  3. 🤯...$10 a game to watch on a stream.
  4. So Canadian players who sign their first contract in the CPL are counted as "internationals" in their own D1+ league (MLS)? Do you guys not see how this is a problem.
  5. As long as he’s active, I think he’ll play for Argentina, especially with the weight off his shoulder now he’s gets to play for fun.
  6. Yes they do matter for many reasons like appearance fee prices, players moving to foreign clubs and oh yea the difference of us being the USA group vs being ours.
  7. Don't like this at all...but knowing Nashville gives Canadians opportunities a sign of life. Based on past moves like this, he has a 33% chance to move to the first team.
  8. 1. David 2. Buchanan 3. Staq David played in every game except one for the CMNT this year, and has the most goals scored. He's also on pace for having his best season in Ligue 1 albeit on a worst team from his title winning one. Buchanan has just been a game changer, and we have relied on him heavily in the absence of Davies. He showing that the attack isn't all about just Davies. Staq has been our midfield general, and his game is continuing to evolve at Porto as he has cemented his place in the squad as a difference maker at a big club. Just missed out for me is ironman Johnston. He's played in every single game for Canada this year showing that we heavily depend on his versatility in defence and going forward. His game is so consistent, the only questionable game I've seen him play in was the Bahrain game on the dodgy pitch. He was a tough decision for me.
  9. Does anyone have the history of the award? I would like to include it in the main post.

  11. 10-15 quid for one match is crazy. I pay 20 bucks and get all EFL, EPL, SPL, Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1, Seria A matches...anything. Literally how I was able to watch Liam Millar at Charlton and Kilmarnock without the Valley pass or whatever you needed to watch the Killies. I just record, and then watch after I know how much time a Canadian has played so I know I'm not wasting my time. My wife used to tolerate soccer because she knows I love it, but now she hate its because of my overkill. Something as simple as the crowd noises make her cringe. 🤣 But anyone looking for a reliable source for all things...PM. You'll end up cutting a lot of your subscriptions.
  12. I like that we are playing the same system we do for the senior team….. oh wait we didn’t play with 3 in the middle in the WCQ. I said let’s hope their fate is better than the last youth team that beat Costa Rica in preparation.
  13. Holy fuck…my gosh guys need to stop comparing guys to Arfields situation. Hutch will retire with 100+ caps. Hoilet will retire with 50+ caps and on of Canadas top assists. Cavallini will retire being in the top scorers. Scott will have what? The memory of USA W or how about the title of being named Captain and then bailing when we thought we needed him most. He’s no fkn Ziyech, where he would’ve changed our fate because he would be our best player.. There’s so much bias and blinders on is the reason this thread is so alive. But I’m tired of guys (the same ones) throwing dirt on our legends when comparing them to him. Compare him to Bekker, Teibert, Akindele….but even then I have a hard time because their commitment couldn’t be questioned. He treated the national team like a club team.
  14. Doing some drive cleaning and found this which was created in January 2021. A lot of guys today would be deep-deep depth chart. Guys who have appeared in camp but aren't listed are Kone, Ugbo, MacNaughton, and Koleosho
  15. I think we all agree, and understand this. It's just some of us are taking the loyalist stand point of "where were you, when everything was falling apart", but I totally agree to the benefits of it being on mainstream TV. As long as the money goes back to CSB then I'm okay...😈
  16. The Arfield protagonist will find a reason or an excuse to why this was the case, and ignore these facts. One of our senior leaders didn't call him out on social media for no reason. He clearly thought he was too good or better than "this".... Bailed when we THOUGHT we needed him the most.
  17. Better yet….how about OneSoccer! Hopefully by that time the CRTC let’s them on the cable. I’m tired of Caldwell and Kilbane. The former BBC man can stay. But put Jimmy or Edgar on. Or maybe Borjan by that time. We need representation.
  18. All in all, I hope we get back to what worked for us. Which was a 3511 hybrid. Until we develop or unearth some additional attacking options, we need to same some guys and have them come off the bench…because we had absolutely no sparks. Junior - super sub Larin - super sub
  19. Accurate. In layman’s term, he got away from what worked. We became this Concacaf giant overnight, disregarding that we won a lot of qualifying games off of the absorb and attack. ALOT. The two up front wasn’t as bad as the two in the middle for me. There was soooo many 🤔with the line ups. - 2 man midfield considering Hutch just returned and barely played a 90. - Having Davies behind Hoilett in a WB position. considering he just came back from injury and was most likely short match fitness. Adekugbe needed to start more than he did, he might be a hidden gem. He allows Davies to be free from defensive expectancy while offering something going forward. Davies is great going forward with pace, running at a back 4 that has no one behind them. Not in a WB position and has to take on 2 guys with another 4 behind them.
  20. From what I’ve seen of both, I like MacNaughtons game better. He’s more calm and composed on the ball. Upside….not much considering their age. However I believe if MacNaughton can cement his 3rd CB spot at TFC he has the upper hand, especially with him being in a camp more recently. I actually thought he looked good in the Bahrain game on the dodgy pitch.
  21. While true for some, this isn't the case for him and many others. Sean Rea can taps into his ancestry the same way Liam Millar, Daniel Jebbison, Lucas Dias, Marcelo Flores, Dominik Yankov, and Junior Hoilett were able too to get to where they wanted. It's the guys like Doneil Henry, Cyle Larin, Raheem Edwards, Tajon Buchanan, Mark Anthony Kaye, Kamal Miller, Richie Laryea, Derek Corneilius, Jonathan Osorio, and Lucas Cavallini who have had to forge their own paths on this side of the continent to get where they want too. But like Herdman said, we needed to get qualify for 22 regardless of the results because it shows that our guys can play on this stage and will have greater eyes on the talent here. It's the reason why Kone is at Watford and not at Bodo/Glimit.
  22. [quote] The wife of prominent soccer journalist Grant Wahl said Wednesday that the writer’s death last week while covering the World Cup was caused by an aortic aneurysm. She ruled out anything suspicious about his death.[\quote] Naw man I still don’t believe it, those Qataris are one of the most disgusting people known to man.
  23. I have a strong bias towards him, as his brother is long time friend of mine. But I do know exactly what you guys above are saying. @gator I think the "uninterested" is just his personality, he's not a fired up striker like Cavallini, but moreso a David where they don't show those emotions a lot. I do also know that there's been a lot personally that he's had to endure with the people he loves most in the past 5 years, and footy has a lot to do with your mentality which can determine your readiness. At times I feel like he's been on 2 and I'm expecting him to "shift gears", but on 2 he would still pop up and score. I understand I can't expect him to be a banger, or bite your head off type striker. I just think he's at a pivotal point in his career where he needs to produce at a substantial rate, but regardless I'm still rooting for him!
