    Spot on. The reality is, we still have sooooo many people who love the game of footy, play the game competitively in their later ages and still have no idea of the Canadian game (national and local). Its years of nothing that have poisoned this. Reason why I think it’s generations with mindsets of “it’s Canada” that need weeding out. While changing/nurturing the next ones. I said it to my brother, pride will change when the population is majority 3rd or 4th gen Canadians. We also need mainstream sports in prime time hours to talk about soccer…but again with time those things change.

    Or phase some the ladies/x’’s out. Clearly there needs to be an injection of hunger and pride. I truly hate professionals crying wolf when there are millions of people dying to be in their position. Pride < Pay Playing for your country is a privilege and not an obligation.

    I won’t mention the last guy who was performing at this age and underaged due to my ties….but let’s hope he has a better career in the interm.

    Apparently it might be… DF - Daijiro Chirino / PEC Zwolle DF - Ruben Kluivert/ FC Utretch (younger to Justin Kluivert) DF -Joshua Brenet /FC Twente GK- Trevor Doorbusch / FC Dordrecht They are doing a great job at recruiting, obviously gelling will be key…but I can see them making some noise next WC qualifying. Will be a tough test, as their manager (former assistant to JH) will know Canada better than any other team.

    There’s no budget cuts when it’s official games. The money is sent to appear. There’s no budget for friendlies.

    I brought my son, who was a little over 1. Didn’t even think about going near the supporters section even with him strapped to my chest and hot milk on go. The section is the section, and you probably wouldn’t want the persons next to you feeling concerned about being to rowdy. In exhilaration - shit happens. Is my 2cents @Pottsy3

    The levels will do that to you. He has to have the attitude of “I’ve played at a way higher level than this” and this is just a stop gap for him. Still surprised this is all his agent could do.

    Based on my research, the bold aren’t on million dollar contracts. But at least 500k.. point still stands that the under is at +1400.

    This is an extreme understatement…I would definitely take the over on this. David, Davies, Osorio, Cavallini, are all millionaires… Laryea, Borjan, Atiba, Larin, Kaye, Hoilett, Adekugbe, Piette, Johnston, Buchanan are all on 500k+….

    Watching the Costa Rica Vs Jamaica game….the technical ability’s, skill and play I’m seeing is on another level from what I’ve seen Canada do in 3 games. Like who’s are Nelson, Priso, Russell-Rowe, Colyn… Lack of camps meaning lack of preparations equaling to lack of hype for players?

    Jealous? Maybe not the right word. But the comment is confusing. I would feel this way if he wasn’t one of the better guys. Maybe Dero hasn’t been watching?

    Boom corrected just like that! Is that it? Interesting because they waived him, and then re-signed him. Which makes me think they got him back on a cheaper deal, and haven't signed anyone else. No way the D2 keeper is going to be the starting #1.

    Agreed! But I've been waiting for the comparison of why? Where/who are the fruits from Montreals better development. You can't make statements like that without presenting the facts.
