  1. okay so you’re saying in Canada, players, referees, coaches pay their fees to the provincial organizations and the CSA. While in the USA they just pay the state associations? No, never! I don’t pay taxes to the government. I’m a sovereign citizen who sells drugs for a living and only deals with cash. Can’t you tell?
  2. What’s the difference? Provinces collect fees for youth soccer in Canada! It all gets funnelled to the top.
  3. and since we love to compare ourselves to the USA…. they take less money from citizens who want to participate in the game. maybe they have less people involved in the game then we do! 🤣
  4. You idiots who keep thinking that increase is to fund the CSB are going beyond reason of logic. Look at those damn reports! The fucking CSAs main revenue has always been the people who are involved in the game. The play for fun adults and kids, the referees and the coaches who all sign up to play crazy prices to play the game. Nowhere else in the world is any federation run like this. I can’t apologize for ignorance. The players are greedy, and have quickly forgot where they have come from!
  5. I feel like the ignorant comments have never looked at the CSA financial reports. I’ve been asking where the money goes, before this whole ordeal.
  6. whats considered great?.... I looked at their match updates and couldn't see his name mentioned with GOAL.
  7. The more the merrier! But the father of the brotherhood doesn’t seem like “this” player would be of interest to him. His focus seems more on the young prospects, and we’ll never know since the media outlets will never ask the interesting questions.
  8. It’s sad, because I would do it for free. Just need to spam the shit out of social media, and pay for ad space.
  9. @PegCityCam You're literally just showing how someone can slip through the cracks Vs a player who’s nurtured through the system. Both could have the same outcome. Timing could just be different.

    Mo Farsi

Same with Farsi, and Abzi. Actually all of our fullbacks were wingers/outside midfielders turned defenders. Everyone accept Adekugbe.

    Mo Farsi

Nope! Farsi was at RB when he came on. (ZBG was the starting guy) Godinho was playing LB…iirc. (Could be wrong about Godi)

    Mo Farsi

He’s right footed and plays RB.
  13. What's also interesting to note is that we have done well within recent years at this U17 level, but at the U20 we have done notoriously bad. We haven't qualified since we hosted in 2005...nearly 20 years! Confirming that we have a clear development issue (pathway) at that age.
  14. Jordan Hamilton was 14, and one of the main strikers (which is more impressive than being a striker) who led Canada to the Concacaf runners up in 2011. He was subsequently dropped from the squad for Yassine Essa (I remember the hype around that kid who completely disappeared). All that to say...Chukwu could get dropped for the final WC squad. (possibly for his brother)
  15. I mean it's tough, and I personally wouldn't consider it a mockery especially as being a second gen Canadian. Who's to say he doesn't feel connected to ALL those countries. Your ancestry is your ancestry. My son is Canadian, Jamaican, Guyanese, and Filipino....has been to each country and will continue to visit....and if he shows any early promise in his footy skills, I'll send him to live with my brother in London lol. I would be damned if someone said he isn't _______, because it's like saying he's not my son.
  16. So let me be clear he has Canada, USA, Nigeria, Italy, and Spain. Good lord
  17. This. You would've sworn Nelsen was Neymar as that was their only game plan it seemed.
  18. Crazy when you look at it like that. Very fortunate draw it was in the end. Definitely would not have wanted Mexicos path of Curacao, Guatemala, Panama, Nicaragua, El Salvador...something about those latin teams.
  19. Some suggested I was stupid for this thinking, but we've been burned 1 too many times for me to be that naive of the facts.
  20. Playing for your national team is a subsidiary of your career. It's the privilege that comes with the profession. Playing for your national team isn't an obligation it is a choice. If one's pride or will has wained, or if it starts effecting your performance will their main employer (club teams) they can simply retire from showing up. Playing for your national team is not supposed to be used as sure income, but moreso as a bonus. Majority of Olympic athletes have primary jobs while training to represent their country on the worlds stage. Most are minimally funded through sponsorships to help pay for their training and other necessary expenses.
  21. @CorazonAdd Tani Oluwaseyi to this list who barely played for MUFC2.
  22. It’s a hidden pun. I got it.
  23. Usually the younger bros are better. But I’m not mad…I rather these guys sign in the CPL than USL or MLSNP. The CPL will get better as a result of these players ……and the CSB 🤭
