  1. 100K 😆.....Ahh all these companies are so concerned but could only offer the means for 1 camp. "This camp is brought you to by GE". The players want more than that amount in payment.
  2. Welp, at least they have found some source of funding for the Women's League! 50% sounds like a large amount for a very well known Canadian company. But what that number amount is will be another conversation. Canadian Tire was a partner of Hockey Canada so they are most likely re-allocating some of those funds. But they weren't a premier partner like Telus, Nike, Esso, & Tim Hortons who contributed 2M a year. One charity sponsor down, 9 more to go!
  3. Is this the new Flores thread?
  4. My squad would look like... GK: Borjan, St. Clair, Sirios DF: Johnston, Vitoria, Laryea, Miller, Corneilius, Zator, Adekugbe, Abzi, MF: Hutchinson, Eustaqiuo, Osorio, Kone, Kaye, Piette, Loturi, Priso FW: Davies, David, Larin, Cavallini, Brym, Buchanan, Shaffelburg
  5. Charles-Andreas Brym was more inform than Theo. Based on this, it's still a good career trajectory and we would still expect him to be in the national team.
  6. I think he could take the place of Waterman in the coming squad.
  7. So we are 3 weeks away from their first game in 2023. (it's funny because I would typically say "our" but it doesn't feel like this right now) We know there will be some change over in the squad due to some injuries from the 26 that last appeared at the WC in December. Here's a look at the World Cup Squad. Out Injured: Junior Hoilett James Pantemis Short of minutes/match fitness: Ike Ugbo - has played 37 mins from a possible 990 mins scoring 1 goal Joel Waterman - hasn't been in MTL squad this season Liam Fraser - has played 179 mins from a possible 810 mins with his team fighting relegation Liam Millar - has played 207 mins from a possible 540 mins while experiencing a hand fracture David Wotherspoon - has played 214 mins from a possible 1080 mins *I have projected 19 guys from the 26 that are locks for call ups, the one's highlighted in yellow are cusp players, and red is players who are out. ...Here's a look at guys who missed the World Cup Squad. Jacob Shaffelburg - If he continues his run of minutes, and contributions I think he will earn this call-up due Charles-Andreas Brym - has been in a good run of form and the coaching staff likes him. (I have them as green as I think they will be called) *The rest are on the cusp (yellow) or out (red). Out Injured/Ineligible: Maxime Crepeau Doneil Henry Luca Koleosho Short of minutes/match fitness: Scott Kennedy - has played 21 mins since serving a red card suspension and suffering a facial injury Raheem Edwards - played 71 mins in his teams season opener. Thomas Hasal - Has been relegated to the #2 spot for the Whitecaps this year, and hasn't featured. Theo Corbeanu - has played 74 mins of a possible 540 mins since arriving on loan at his new club Jayden Nelson - season hasn't started yet. Ayo Akinola - played 84 mins from a possible 180, and picked up a small injury in the last game Matthieu Choiniere - has played played 135 mins from a possible 180. Started 1 game. Zachary Brault-Guillard - Started his clubs first game and played 61 mins, and then didn't appear in the next game. Lukas MacNaughton - on the bench for both his clubs games. Cristian Gutierrez - Not in his squad. Hasn't made the bench for both games. ...Here's some names who have been featuring for their clubs since the World Cup. Victor Loturi - has played 725 mins from a possible 1170 mins while his team is fighting relegation) Dominik Zator - has played in all but 19 mins of his teams first 6 matches since the return of the break. Kyle Hiebert - has played every minute in his new franchise clubs first two games. Both games were wins. Diyaeddine Abzi - has played in 432 min from a possible 990 mins. Was his teams PotMonth for January. Mohamed Farsi - has had consecutive starts to the season playing in 166 from a possible 180. Ralph Priso - has played 125 mins of 180 mins in his teams first two games of their season. Luca Petrasso - has played 109 mins from 180 in his teams first two games. He started their first game in which they won. Marcus Godinho - has played 105 mins from a possible 540 mins. Nathan Saliba - started both games for his teams season. Playing in 117 mins of a possible 180. Sean Rea - has played 95 mins from a possible 180 mins so far this season. From this information who do you think will be in the 26 man squad?
  8. This is exactly what some want it to be. Kind of what all the arguments are about right? CSB needing to spend more of their “own”money? So let’s say they both are charities, which one are you picking. A // governs over 185+ professional paid players, and 500+ semi-pro amateur players. 90% of the players are Canadians. B // governs sub 55 players who are also paid by their professional clubs, and sub 100 players who are U20 players, majority aren’t paid. 98% are Canadian. They both can’t be charities. Pick one.
  9. But whats the latest fellas.... CSA didn't open their books on Friday? Last I heard someone noticed an irregularity between a box being checked and unchecked between the years. Anymore egregious findings?
  10. Holy shit. My sister did the exact same thing. "So what is going on with Canada Soccer and not paying these ladies" I followed up with, did you know Canada just played in their second WC in over 30+ years. She said "no." I wanted to tell her to "gfy" but I love her too much. A lot of warriors out there, and they literally don't know shit all outside is what is being fed to them through the media. A lot of social warriors are commentating and have absolutely no clue and are being sent to the battlefield like how Russia is doing their people. Stupidly.
  11. Lol...remind me why anyone needs to watch this?
  12. Hopefully it's just tightening and not any strains. Just hope this isn't a recurring thing for him...and at that size all signs point it to being so.
  13. Was specifically referring to Bradley. The "assist" is what is bringing his rating up. He's just a space marker, late to tackles, doesn't win challenges, slow..
  14. I’m watching the game. The metrics tell a different story sometimes…this one.
  15. I didn’t realize he played all but 1 game last season. Crazy. Man is just a space marker at this point.
  16. Yea making runs not getting it or the pass coming to late.
  17. Is Kosi Thompson injured? I just don’t understand Servania isn’t a stalwart, and they got rid of their striker with the most goals. This team has no identity other than being Italian.
  18. Thanks, I can’t find a proper link with one. Refuse to pay for the league pass.
  19. Is there no commentary on these games or is it just the stream. http://www.cr8soccer.ml/p/mls2_25.html?sport=soccer
  20. They have the right to ask to put it towards more friendlies, into grassroots and more youth camps, but they didn’t do that either. The women want equal pay (more money), while asking for more prep (more money), and want money to be given to fund a women’s charity league. A lot of this is about lining the players pockets, and less about the foundation and future players.
  21. He’s plays as a lone striker in a front 3 at Lille often. And he pops up and scores. They need a goal scorer, which is what David brings, but they are banking on Nkunku. I just think David is still going to want a big club…. I don’t believe the likes of Salzburg is what he’s envisioning.
  22. I support the transparency of the CSA. I don’t support the more money plea (men), or the charity case (women).
