  1. 2 goals. Ramadan break, and the goalie taking a break at the beginning. 3 minutes added on was questionable.
  2. To me heavy rotation means key players/started being out and that is very likely. We will still have quality in the squad, but we will be lacking familiarity.
  3. The ever so charismatic JH answered this question tonight before the TSS Rovers Vs Valour game. He said his priority is to worry about the NL, and then assess who’s (willing) able to play the daunting schedule of the Gold Cup. He mentioned he knows that some guys will be making moves, and will require preseasons with their new clubs…. Soooo I suspect we see a heavily rotated squad.
  4. Looking at the groups and knockout rounds and it could be very interesting if we win the group. We could play either Jamaica or USA in the quarter finals….and if I’m betting I think it might be the USA. Jamaica is planning on bringing a strong team with guys like Demarai Gray finally getting his paperwork sorted, and Michaill Antonio returning. The reality is the USA could bring a mixed squad based on who they bring to the Nations league final. Plus the fact that they play each other in their tournament opener could be the early decider.
  5. News to me. It’s been played on professionally before. Do you think it’s that “domed” to effect game play?
  6. Honestly this is wishful thinking, go somewhere else. Can't be talking about "another" GTA team when the primary one needs to be sustained. It's a big maybe to Mississauga if they build a stadium....but Brampton would be a hard no because they are focused on building a cricket stadium. Vaughan sounds cute, but again would require a stadium and the league to allow teams to buy overpriced Italians. Give me KW, London, or Durham.
  7. I played with Nana (and Gabe Gala) at NTC Ontario so I was cheering for him, but my oh my I felt embarrassed for him lol. I remember the move he did too, it was a futsal like top-roll-shimmy that dropped him.
  8. Looking at the attendance, am I'm just wondering. Why not Lamport, why wasn't it ever considered? It's in a gem of spot, and stadium built for soccer. Here is a gallery of the stadium I took back in 2017 when I was walking around dreaming one day. They are already competing with TFC regardless of how close they are. But it's the overall experience of going to an enjoy a game and being able to do shit either before or after. That option doesn't exist at York lions, it's get in and get out...a few minutes walk and you could wonder into an area where you shouldn't be after dark (iykyk.) If I was the owner, or able to make some serious decisions I would play at Lamport. Keep individual tickets around the same price they are today ($25) but add 5+ group packages. I would take a page out of Atlanta's United's book with providing cheap concessions - ($3 hot dogs, $2 water, $5 beers, $2 pops.) Profits would be marginal, but the experience will be improved, and I can guarantee you that attendance would increase. Location, location, location. ....Mind you, I don't think their project place at Woodbine is ideal either.
  9. And it's funny one of the best players on that team was Mathias Vidangossy. He didn't end up continuing part of that gold generation. He absolutely was destroying Nana Attakora that game(dropped him like a basketball crossover). I remember being at the stadium and just seeing the pressure they were applying that Canada couldn't handle.
  10. A lot of Concacaf federations have done rebrands. This is a neat and nice logo refresh. Maybe a new logo for the CSA would represent a sign of "change" 🤪
  11. He’s not even worth mentioning though…we aren’t desperate anymore.
  12. @CorazonThink we can remove Ryan Tefler no? Or is this Canadians regardless of national team allegiance?
  13. I thought about this as well… If he were, he would be missing 3 games if we make it to the finals. Maybe he goes to NL, and skips Gold Cup? I’m waiting for the JH presser where he’s asked these roster questions.
  14. All this England vs Spain is coming from a complete unbiased, as I hold no affinity to either country. I've actually visited Spain several times, where I haven't been to England once (I should go visit my brother soon). @Unnamed Trialist you are completely biased, as you mention how great the country and the city of Barcelona is whenever you get the chance. It's not a dig, but based on your replies it shows you can always have a biased opinion especially based on the points @Bigandy took the time to point out. Oh yea, and Ballon D'or....for me is a dumb metric to use considering soccer is a team sport. AND the results of where each player played is a clear representation of how skewed La Liga is from Barca/Madrid . I hope David goes to the Premier League because he can always go to La Liga after when he's older and slow downs a little bit.

Think this thread should be changed to represent his real name of Mohamed.
  16. Disagree. EPL is simply wayyyyy more entertaining, and overall has more quality players than La Liga. The money is a result of that. It’s only in recent years that Atletico joined the pot that solely consists of Barca and Madrid. So I do wonder what those stats, and parameters are? Cards given which slows down the speed of the game, to which they call La Liga more technical? For example if La Liga is a higher level, why is that we see guys who leave the league and come to the EPL struggle where vice versa it’s rarely an issue (Hazard cashed out, and lost care vs his actual quality) EPL has more international players in their league, and less domestic players which again speaks to the quality. If this was a conversation a decade ago when Spain was winning everything club and country then I would agree. This speaks to culture. “In Russia there are many people who prefer KHL hockey to the NHL.” Or In England there many people who prefer Rugby super league to the NFL.” It’s a moot point.
  17. no. Osorio shifted into the middle, and he moved out wide.
  18. You just outline qualities of why someone could play in back three. Especially if his right foot is his dominant one. Weird take...
  19. Weak draw. But favourable to us in the aspect that we really will be able to bloodin some new guys at the expense of giving some guys a rest (if they want it) The states used to do this before, where they would bring a whole different squad for the knockout rounds. I don’t know if Concacaf gold cup rules still allow this today…but this could be a thing.
  20. I still think Lamport stadium is perfect for the Argonauts, just need to put additional seats in the endzones. I think a stadium of that size would be perfect with adjustable endzone seats on both ends. The key is planning for it properly, and not doing what TFC/Argos do with their endzones.
