  1. There isn’t money being embezzled in off shore accounts. There isn’t money being given to shady deals. There isn’t people getting overpaid. There simply isn’t enough money to go around. Will this topic move on?, there doesn’t seem like there is an end or conclusion in sight other than the CSA did dumb deals with lack of foresight. Soon the women will take their fight to the men as the equal pay vs equity pay hasn’t been agreed to. I’m forecasting the women perform below expectations, and the blame is put on the CSA because “their minds are focused on where their next meal is coming from”…I can see it already.
  2. A lot of partiality when these statements are made considering the positive consecutive season(s) he has had/is having. The man has 8 appearances for Canada. He didn’t make the WC squad when guys like Millar (17 apps) and Fraser (15 apps) did. Fraser has been playing at a lower level than Brym, however I will say that imo he’s always look good when playing for Canada. Millar on the other hand has been called into Canada a substantial amount of times, played key minutes and hasn’t “wowed” for Canada imo. His club team plays at a higher level than all three, but personally and his team are having a very underwhelming season. So other than these guys, who has done enough to deserve a call up when he has gotten them? It’s just an easy statement to make, but you gotta say who. I really want to know.
  3. Recovering in a month with proper treatment is highly doable for an MCL sprain. It’s the match fitness and sharpness that will be the tall ask. But like others are mentioning, he’s a guy that I wouldn’t be surprised to see at both tournaments.
  4. Why not? Jamaica has had the exact same schedule except the WC. I wasn’t comparing them to Bolivia….
  5. I don't know what you're referencing but quick search for the senior team: 2022 Friendlies: JAM: 5 CAN: 4 2021 Friendlies: JAM: 3 CAN: 0 2020 Friendlies: JAM: 4 CAN: 3 2019 Friendlies: JAM: 2 CAN: 1* (training match) For youth teams you gotta dig deeper, as the JFF communications is worst than the CSA, and the Gleaner will put it in their reports in small parts that your algorithm can't easily find. I know because I occasionally visit the reggaeboyz forum to find out the latest happenings of the team. So go there and you'll find additional information if you want. It's how I know Demarai Gray has finally got his paperwork sorted. I know they did an ID camp for the U20, and U17s...it how they got players from Atlanta United, Toronto FC, and Inter Miami academies. They've done this also with the ladies, as majority of their team is Jamaican "diasporans". But again, my main point is that it shouldn't be comparable....but it is. Jamaica for a fact does more local camps than we do. I guess from before it didn't make sense for us to do them, but we are in year 5 of the CPL's existence and I know before I could make a strong U-23/21 team with zero national team experience.
  6. Include youth camps. They’ve done a few ID camps for their older ages in vetting dual internationals in America. But regardless we shouldn’t be comparing our country to a developing nation.
  7. I meant their entire program. Senior, and youth.
  8. Just saw that there’s an U-22 tournament happening in El Salvador from June 24- July 7 with teams from Jamaica, DR, Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia, Venezuela, and Honduras. Something isn’t right, when Jamaica is playing more games than us. They also have excuse of money having to go around to their women’s program…. I just don’t get it.
  9. Team?....well isn't that a good thing? Most fans including myself hating watch Barcelona, or Bayern play a game expecting them to win by 2+ goals. If that's not what you mean, then I digress. This is interesting statement. And I'm really trying to understand your stand point rather than trying to dissect your reasoning that is contrary to mine. But what does the culture, marketing, and packaging have to do with the quality and entertaining footy that is on display? Correct me if I'm wrong....but you follow the SPFL no? I've stated this before, I hold no affinity to English football outside of the team I support...but I also watch a vast variety of football outside of the EPL (in my footy circles, I'm looked at as weird because of this) as I'm always entertained by a game, and the cultural aspects of it...but I do dissect quality at the various levels that I watch.
  10. Woah I liked your post, then had to unlike it lol. EPL haters...I don't know. Because I barely watch any TV and watch all kinds of football leagues (wife hates it) there's just way to much quality on every team in the EPL, and then you get to watch in multiples games. I don't know how people don't like it. Matter of fact, what's your reason? (I actually think Ligue 1 is wrongfully stated as a farmers league, because there's a lot of quality in it) I think PSG would be go for him based on they are annually in the UCL, and what they are trying to change with Messi and Neymar eventually leaving. I think Mbappe playing with David would be massive for his game, as his positional awareness is on another level for his age. So for me, if its PSG I would prefer that move over the likes of "West Ham". Even Newcastle doesn't seem ideal with their strikers finally meshing.
  11. A win today would be massive for their chances of beating the drop.

If it conflicts with Celtics champions league schedule then I see it.... But other than that, he's the ironman of the squad, and continues to play the most games YoY. I don't think it stops now.
  13. possible Gold Cup call up .....🤣
  14. Unless.... (I really need to proofread my shit....forgive me)

I just think we'll see both Laryea, and Johnston at both the Gold Cup and Nations League (providing both men are healthy).

Unless guys aren’t available, nIt would be bringing him in for bringing in sake. Johnston and Laryea are just too solid and consistent for Canada. Its the reason why ZBG has performed well in red, but doesn’t get called back.
  17. I like the thinking…but some guys you included don’t need a break/if they turned down a call up, they would be shooting themselves in the foot like Loturi, Millar, Ugbo, Corbeanu, and Brym, Cavallini. ….Unless***The tune has change from JH in regards to not showing up when called
  18. AFC....Toronto....City Atheltic Football Club Toronto City🤯
  19. For him to do it against Real Madrid while playing for Girona sure.....but I'm pretty sure Haaland had 3 goals and 2 assists against United.
  20. I kinda don’t want to hear anything about the Heritage committee until there final conclusion. Feel like their involvement has just added to the mess.
  21. He's been consistently playing is the difference. I think Wotherspoon is on that list above Fraser.
  22. Actually if they were playing out of BMO it probably still wouldn't be better than IG Field (other than the turf). My main point is that the stadium and location has to be better in order to succeed in Toronto. I agree to the bolded point. But in regards to the structure, are you referring to the building/stands? To me (who's not a construction engineer), the many times that I went there and went snooping around it's seemed structurally sound, just extremely old and outdated. It's the reason why I said investment is needed. 2M into Lamport and that stadium would bring far more than just soccer.
  23. Damn, now he won't be able to keep his side gig of modelling in Toronto.
  24. That is wayyyyy to youthful in a league that heavily relies on experience.
  25. Okay your structure points stands. However in HFX they don't have anything else to support professionally, nevertheless a professional team to compare too. So it works for them. I know you picked the part about York Lions being the worst stadium, but left out that it should be one of the best. I'm curious on your thoughts (and anyone else who's been to a York 9/United game) what do you think would be a better suited stadium, when getting one built is near impossible.
