I definitely think we see a stronger Jamaica come the Gold Cup. They may play a weakened USA in match day 1, due to the same issues we have with regard to injuries and squad rotation. They've also filled some of their holes with Jon Russell looking really good in the middle, and roles/chemistry seems to be getting better. Plus the addition of Demarai Gray, and apparently paperwork is being worked on now for Reiss Nelson.

You're right about the Americans. McKennie vs De La Torre maybe based more on history vs current season, is why I picked McKennie. And tbh I have never watched LDLT play. I think I just like Aaronsons game better than all three of those guys and he's had a better season than Pulisic, and has played a lot more than Reyna, regardless of the fact that Gio has more goals in an inferior league. It was hard for me to not include Larin, but if I had to it would be Aaronson who I would replace him with.I was just trying to avoid making those list that have 5 central strikers, 5 attacking mids, and 5 centre backs being put in positions that doesn't make sense. David, Antonio, Becker all beat out Larin, was my thinking.

I think the only guy who I might have left out is Antonio - he's having a better season than the Becker. I guess I just didn't want to look biased and add some mixture.

I think it's easier to predict 16 players, as those are the most that could be used in a given game. So I'll say based on health today. and his best position is LWB. You can't watch Bayern, and say he plays the traditional LB. Making a Concacaf best XI varies on formation IMO. But regardless of that, Davies would still be in a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2

Yea I don’t think it’s a versus thing either. They play two separate roles, and have different skillsets. We just have to hope these guys stay healthy.

@Big_M he has to be given the opportunity. Pretty sure he would be interested in testing his coaching abilities at a higher level.

This sounds funny. I read it as "Sinclair needs top be replaced by committee" as in she's not being replaced if it's up to her.

As much as I want to do this...I also want to takeover, and the opportunity is there. I do think through rotation we will see a larger pool to pick from in preparation for the real test which is next summer.

Atiba hasn’t played 90 minutes in total since the World Cup. At this point is he getting called up for the sake of it? Because at the rate he won’t be in match shape for NL.

Disagree strongly @Jack1997, especially if you’re using “senior” players. Last tournament guys like Davies*, David*, Millar, Priso, Fraser, Paton, St. Clair, Kennedy, Miller, Corbeanu, Shaffelburg, Johnston, were are all eligible last tournament and majority were playing substantial first team minutes but we’re not released for various reasons.

Neither am I. He was just used as reference to someone who frequently gets called in. I was asking the question of who is more deserving of a call-up then Brym. That's all.

Not only play more, produce more. But this isn’t about him. He was just used as comparison to the “warrants a call up” conversation. @MauditYvon who do you think deserves a call up over Brym? as we wait for @Bertuzzi44names.

Exactly my point….apologist, able to find a positive but then able to scrutinize Brym for the personal season he’s having. That’s what warrants the call ups. The learned a new role part…he just started being deployed in the WB position, I believe it’s only been 3 games.
