That’s massive for them. With their injuries, and the fact they haven’t had a clear number 9 since Jozy. Concacaf getting stronger. I hate them, but I love this.

Not saying it’s him, but I do wonder if there’s guys playing at lower/youth levels that would perform on the CMNT stage. I feel like some guys could just be an opportunity away from their career getting the boost it needs via a NT appearance (Kone is great example)

Okay I may have missed something besides him coming back on the field after the game was done….. I thought he was pushing or punching. But the tough guy shit is jokes for a guy who is 18, 5”7, and 130lbs soaking wet…immaturity showed, and lack of leadership. TFC is a dumpster fire.

I disagree with this. The 3-5-2 is correct. But imo in a 4-4-2 I have Laryea over Johnston 9x out of 10. They are equally solid defensively, but Laryea offers more going forward.

If they get relegated staying with JR shouldn't be an option considering they never offered him a contract renewal. His situation will be very interesting considering he can sign on a free and he's a Canadian international.

Next round is massive. But I still think Forge could win this whole thing. (I hope they do) It seems like they are the only team with continuity which goes a long way in knockout tournaments. They have a few more games to gel, and be ready for that matchup in the dump.

I love Doneil too, trust me I do...1st TFC HG, 1st Canadian HG player to be sold abroad.... It just seems like he gets healthy enough to sign a contract and then subsequently is injured. In the past 5 years he's averaging about 9 games a season.

Side note: You should see what’s happening in Ontario. Every former pro has their own academy, and have teams in unsanctioned leagues with the promises of going to Europe. Soccer in this country is a cash cow, so it’s highly questionable how our federation struggles financially.

No offence to you or anything, but that sounds like the classic lame excuse. If he truly is highly rated, I would assume he would be in the squad since we like to value European prospects over the "local" lads.
