    By the time we play them, they will have had 3 games to gel. Keep in my that that front attack, and midfield has never/barely played with eachother.

    The other two MTL players I'm not concerned about, could simply be a coaching staff preference. But the fact Choinerre wasn't picked when he has double the amount of minutes that ZBG has who is on the same team....is the questionable part. It's not like ZBG is a Brym, Miller or Fraser type guy who has somehow always ended up in the team in past camps regardless of form. I think that's the real shocker....but I guess it will come down to not a lot of RBs in the squad.

    Reality is, time is ticking for all the CB's that are on the same level. (Waterman, Bombito, MacNaughton, McGraw, Zator..then there's Miller, Kennedy, and Corneilius who aren't miles better) Soon, and very soon we should be looking to find a new CB partnership that will lead us into the friendlies we'll play in the fall (or lack thereof) . I seen a stat the other day about Germany under Hansi flick..24 games, 21 different CB pairings....we don't have the quality to experiment that much, so statements or performances need to be had soon, because I can't see JH rotating the pairings that often.

    This move is risky. It could be a boost move, or it could be a "death" one. Not performing in the SPFL is dangerous waters, but would be better than going to NYCFC.

    As an Arsenal fan, David is not what we need. He would be a Jesus pt.2 with his versatility, passing, and pressing capabilities. We need a big 9. and I could see Havertz versatility affecting Artetas decision to get him.

    …Let’s hope someone in the media ask these questions. He’s having arguably one of the best seasons as a Canadian in MLS so the question is warranted. I’ve waived the flag for ZBG in the past, but not recently…so I find it weird that he’s in the squad and Chonierre isn’t.

    Argentina won the World Cup with a backline of undersized players and CBs…size isn’t everything Sometimes with size, it hinders mobility…I haven’t watched much of McGraw or Bombito but that’s something to keep in mind. Kennedy is coming off a poor season, and we saw the form resonate in the final. Miller is having an equally bad season. I feel like we know what they can bring, so I’m eager to see how the new boys do in Bombito and McGraw. However in the back of my head, I won’t be surprised if they get limited minutes.

    This is spot on. I think a petition needs to be started or hard questions to be asked…because ultimately Concacaf is being hindered at the FIFA level at the expense of a UEFA member. It’s stupid seeing the France flag during games or promotion. They need to make it make sense.

    Tbh I wanted and expected that we would see Vitoria and Borjan take this tournament off for various reasons. I also felt that there positions were covered, and that we need to start phasing them out with the future. So now I feel like our testing/experimenting will be impacted because of the obligation to play those two when we have guys that need the opportunities. Because I don’t think we have a chance at all to win this tournament. It’s purpose will be determining the depth for Copa America.

    Something needs to be done. Those nations are actually good, and could be even better than what they are today. Concacaf and FIFA need to figure out a solution, because their eligibility issues need to make sense. How can one be eligible for 1 country in Concacaf and then eligible for another to FIFA. Can someone explain how Puerto Rico is different?

    Arguably have the best XI in this Gold Cup. (Debatable between them and Mexico) Whether they can put it all together is the big question. I’m hoping they have a good run (not at the expense of Canada) and build on their pieces.

    Definitely needs a proper sendoff.... We got a month to get some funds in an honour the Canadian GOAT with a proper tifo.
