  1. sounding like a bitter hater lol
  2. Is the guy for the future. A lot of guys in the current program are familiar with him and respect him.
  3. There's never a right time to say good bye, and it looks like Herdman is making the first move cause if he doesn't we might start not liking him. Baring all his successes, he probably doesn't feel the same way he once felt about Canada soccer association and he'll make it a "it's not you it's me". I'm not worried, the time has come. Getting him off the books for a cheaper option might allow more camps. And we aren't bringing in anyone glamorous, so a domestic coach who knows the players will likely make the decision. I'm team Bobby Smyrniotis.
  4. That poster he was referring to was me @dyslexic nam....but I didn't say any of that... No one has suggested a "locking out the players" (if so prove me wrong).....everyone is asking what happens in the future with no resolution in sight. But you will try to twist people's words to fit whatever narrative you're pumping in the capital.
  5. Thank you. I was going to say it, but I'm tired of bringing up facts. He hasn't started a game for Canada outside of those friendlies against Barbados and Iceland (which he scored in), but the way guys act here you would swear he's got over 1000 minutes and has only produced 1 goal. He's only played 176 minutes of garbage time. I'm hoping he's just our modern day Piette around here.
  6. Maybe the level is on par. I'll admit I don't know enough outside of RB Salzburg who seem to be the only club that progresses players onto the next level for obvious reasons. From my TM sleuthing, it seems that's it's very common for guys to make "lateral" moves between the Austrian 1. Bundesliga and the German 2. Bundesliga. The fact that one league has more teams show more strength in the pyramid/infrastructure/quality rather than "made up" values imo. Especially when you look at the UEFA club coefficient/rankings. But hindsight is 20/20 and like @Obinnasaid, it could all be good if he makes his way into Conference league play....My main point is he's on a level that may be below where majority of our CB depth is at (MLS).
  7. Does anyone remember when the NFL brought in the replacement referees... Maybe the CSA will have to call in a complete different squad for these games...you know the guys who aren't worried about how much more money they could get. Create a new brotherhood.? Themed the "never had shit" squad with guys like MacNaughton, Zator, Bustos, Waterman? Because this feud/dispute seems never ending with zero solution in sight.
  8. Guess he isn't glamorous for being 27yo. But he's started in all 3 of his teams games (2w & 1d) in the B2. He has been playing as an attacker.
  9. Outside of his injury, and I believe a red card suspension...wasn't he getting consistent playing time with JR? Reality is he dropped down a level, so it shouldn't be a surprise that he's getting the minutes (I'm going to guess his role was probably guaranteed. I'm hoping he has a great season and gets a move back to a level that earned him his call up.
  10. I always rated this guy watching Pacific, and when I seen him live when they played Toronto at BMO - I liked his game even more. He's very composed on the ball, and has good range of passing. His come up story is also something special, and like some have said his play has been deserving of a call up. My 5 CBS today: 1. Miller 2. Vitoria 3. Corneilius 4. McGraw 5. MacNaughton ....however October is far away.
  11. Future CMNT captain, you heard it here first!
  12. He played 20 or so minutes in the Bahrain game and to me looked like one of the best defenders in that cameo. What I find interesting about this conversation is guys are acting like we have a bunch of tier 1 center backs, that are playing at elite levels vs elite competition. A lot of our CB's are playing against the same attacks (6 out of 10) Here's what I think our CB depth chart looks likes Tier 1: Vitoria (aging but not soo like fine wine) Tier 2: Miller, Corneilius Tier 3: Kennedy (has dropped), McGraw, Bombito, Tier 4: Zator, MacNaughton, Waterman, Heibert Yes Kennedy has his speed, but he didn't look good at this past GC. And has dropped a level at the club game. The way I see it, anyone from 3-4 can move up or down based on how they are doing with their respective seasons/team. So to think that Lukas can't move into the 4-6 depth spot is crazy to me. The tier 3-4 have their strengths and have their weaknesses. I just simply can't write him off because he's playing in a team that is "defensively sound."
  13. This revamped North American Superliga aka Leagues Cup won't last long in its current form. The CCC is going to be heavily American teams. - LigaMX will cry wolf with this MLS site only. - Teams knocked out early have a crazy month break (expect teams like Seattle and St Louis league position to change) - MLS will have 8 of the 27 teams in this new iteration tournament. - CPL should be involved someway (regardless of the quality gap) considering they are the only league that is left out of a continental qualifier for the CCC.
  14. Would be interesting to see how he would do. Would be interesting to see who we could replace him with under a shoe-string budget. I'm sure he probably asked about the possibility of coaching two teams.
  15. I was quoted, so it was definitely to me... I understand the stress, but it's the gift and the curse of being a pro footballer. Some talented players aren't afforded the opportunities that others get and have to work normal jobs that they don't love. Ask Dero, and JDG for the older guys...or Junior Hoilett for the millennials. I've heard a basketball player say "stress, people pay their hard-earned money to come to watch me play the game I love, the game that pays me to take care of my family. I can't talk about stress" This is a Canadian Soccer Forum, all those things you mentioned will happen around here. It happens in a lot of player threads, some guys are playing in top leagues but get roasted this one is unique for one reason. We speculate we discuss based on what's out there - some of that is directly put on here by family members or agents.
  16. In the hypothetical event that whoever is eligible is willing, I'm curious what you're 23 would look like. So many guys deserve looks, but limited spots.
  17. I don't know how this rant was directed to me. All I said was "there was once a rumour of premier league interest" in the sequence of the post that were making mentions of using his "Liverpool links", and that it's "surprising he didn't move the season before." I don't have to list or reference the players who I know personally who have gone through these "experiences" in the Championship or other leagues. Some prevailed, some folded - such is the life of a footballer. At the end of the day it's a dream profession that not a lot of Canadians get the opportunity too experience . I get it's all personal for you. But not everything stated needs to be taken personal, or require a personal rant, perspective or response. Especially when it's not critical, but conversation from topics you have contributed too. Everyone is team Millar, and has hope he has a career season this season - and every season after that. ...I do wonder how people would respond if you were Bryms dad.
  18. You'll hear the same thing about Rogers. Is there a massive corporation that is "great" to work at? Feel like it's all part and parcel.
  19. There was once a rumour that he had premier league interest.
  20. Portuguese striker Ramos...and they are going to bring in Kolo Muani - French international. (Still lowkey trying to entice Mbappe with his friends)
  21. Tajon being playing a RB is nut wrenching.
  22. He's not a striker, much less a lone striker. His best performances has been from LW or playing with a second Forward. The faster they realize that, the better their return....but fack spurs. Long May it continue.
  23. Came out after 54 mins, score is 0-0. He put in a good shift holding up play, linking with guys behind, won some headers.
