If anyone listened to the Northern Futbol Podcast with Nick Bontis, you would learn that the decision on where to play games falls solely on John Herdman. This tells me the players ultimately have the final say. So my initial assumption where our senior leadership team (players) are all based in Ontario. Moral of the story is, Vancouver needs to produce more national team players.🤷♂️

Opportunities have evolved. Canada Youth national teams…haven’t. Performance is one thing, preparation is another.

(meant to say isn't*) It's just a theory. As its all relative. Will he even play consistently over Irving? I doubt it. Opportunities for keepers come very few and far between. And it doesn't really dictate where the level is/capability (i.e. Busti) ....And to note this same theory was used for the senior team when we had a guy scoring goals at the youth level with no first team experience, and was consistently included in the squad. Different times for the senior squad, but we haven't evolved yet at the youth level.

I would tend to agree with this....but does this really matter for GKs? Especially when the level gap isn't extraordinary.. If they are playing, they are playing. Shots on target are shots on target, saves are saves...no?

On the after market. I have one lady calling me down to buy season tickets. First thing mentioned is "you heard about Insigne"....I'm like yea he doesn't really excite me to be honest lol. I think they are literally trying to sell out the stadium in season seats to recoup some of the investment back.

Like my Uncle B always told me "we need action, and not a bag of mouth". So heres hoping that something comes of it. They need to get creative and move fast. If it were up to me, I would have a domestic camp, play against a CPL team, while also having a European camp scheduled against another team. If they aren't official FIFA youth tournaments, I would even include some overaged guys who missed their opportunity but could still be a future prospect like Colyn, Priso and Pacius. There should at least be 2 camps before a final camp. 2023 will have U-20 WCQ, Gold Cup, and hopefully Nations League Finals. -

Has there been any news for the rescheduled March camp? As exciting as these times are in regards to the senior team, it will be very key to maintain the progress past Qatar. What I don't want to see if us have all this momentum at the senior level, and our youth programs look the damn same. We have a lot more kids playing all over the place, and there should be several (at least 2) camps so they can be properly identified. Before a list of 23 random players are slapped together from TFC, Montreal, and the Caps coached by the dilllusionist.

I hate this debate, but it literally seems like the only people complaining are from Vancouver and everybody else regardless of where your from is lumped into being from Southern Ontario.
