1. Not that good. We got some guys who have been playing at home who would potentially miss out. Let’s hope Montreal doesn’t hold back their lot, as a bunch of their guys have looked good under professional minutes.
2. Have to take my son to get a shot, so will be on mobile. Does the left column show on mobile? Or will it show in the highlighted below?
3. Solely meant the CSA outside of the Vs. Im not ungrateful lol. But after taxes and tm fees it’ll be between 55-60 no?
4. Yup they did it lol. looks like our tickets will be $55-$65.?
5. Can’t see it happening either. This rule was created for the likes of Ukrainians playing in RPL, who obviously are conflicted/don’t want too Outside of this, I think the players who will take advantage of this are ones who are in a bad situation/not playing. It would be stupid for Richie to make that decision now.
6. If Middlesbrough win promotion, I assume he returns and stays. Laryea chance will come sooner than later. He’s just gotta dig his heels in.
7. Laryea has shown to be a key piece to the squad. I hate how guys will scrutinize one guy, and neglect their importance/contributions to the squad…..but then find excuses or praise for another guy who is a fringe player, and hasn’t done much. Be consistent with your analysis regardless of who’s reading it.
8. Told my brother to tell the wives that they nor we can decide if we are going to the World Cup. It's in the fate of FIFA.... sure enough fates not on our side.
9. Definitely an excuse why the pitch looks like that. they should always be prepared for a big snowfall, is there no contingency plan? Is it possible for a dome over the pitch so they can protect it from the elements and have a greater control with the use of their grow lights. With MLS season looking like it will continue to start early, going on the road for 5 games shouldn’t be an option.
10. Whitecaps announcers are so boring… does one of them do the briers?
11. It's still early. But in this state Insigne isn't the answer, as over two games I see the middle is a problem, when it is the most experienced.
12. I left after the first half as I was too cold (stupidly didn't prepare), and the game was over. From what I saw, Bradley is in a position that needs a destroyer, ball winner, person that breaks up plays....and that is not his skillset anymore. The middle is so weak so I hope Priso gets more opportunities.
13. I don't know how many times i'll say that we still need to have U23 camps, regardless if there isn't OQ on the line.
14. Blame CONcacaf. You would think after all these years, they would have an internal auditor of all the federations doings.
15. Yea but its also very stupid to reference one game where he didn't score, when he's on a rate of .75 goals a game or a goal every other game. He's not a great comparison at all for that analogy. International soccer doesn't allow for these granular stats, specifically for attackers. If you're not creating chances, or scoring goals at a respectable rates you will be overlooked/questioned as to your current value to the nation. Club soccer sees things in a different light, which typically bubbles down to the investment. Where as International ball is what are you doing now, and how have you done when you were in the squad.
16. Immediately thought of Liam's club play when I heard this. I think that's the strong difference between club and international ball - especially as an attacker.
17. Sounds good in theory. But they could also do a Gold Cup tactic where they do a 2 for 1 price for both games at BC Place, or buy Costa Rica tickets and get Grenada tickets for %20 off. 54K sellout vs a Tier 2 opponent is likely. 20K plus is definitely a possibility against a tier 3 opponent. Why limit that revenue opportunity to a max of 6k? because of the cancelled out of FIFA calendar friendly.....gotta think the CSA is thinking bigger, striking while their product is hot. I'll be surprised if a game is played at small stadium, regardless of the size of the opponent.
18. This is the way to go….but I don’t think this means we will see games at HFX grounds or even a return to Starlight. The Canada Red+White+Black+Gold indicates to me that the CSA is shifting their thinking as it pertains to revenue.
19. Yea at our biggest stadiums so that that we can maximize profits, and presence. When the pitch gets changed, Canada at Olympic stadium will be massive. Playing at Saputo stadium right now will feel like we are still operating at 50% capacity with the maximum of 19k fans.
20. Shovel! What year are we in lol 😂 I flick the switch on the driveway and if it’s not melting fast enough then my baby Amy the snowblower does the rest. Plus my side of the street doesn’t have a sidewalk so I’m golden!
21.
Loan of a Player by MLS to Affiliate Club (MLS NEXT Pro / USL) All loans from MLS clubs to its affiliates must be free (i.e., no loan fees paid by MLS NEXT Pro / USL affiliate clubs). If an MLS player is loaned to an affiliate, such a player may not be paid more than the player's Salary Budget Charge without that compensation being captured on the MLS club's Salary Budget (including, but not limited to, performance bonus compensation). An MLS club can receive roster relief and budget relief for a maximum of one player loaned to its MLS NEXT Pro or USL affiliate or a lower-division club in the U.S. or Canada; provided, however, that: The player is under the age of 25 (i.e., he does not turn 25 prior to the end of the calendar year); The player's Salary Budget Charge is less than or equal to the MLS Senior Minimum Salary (including any loan fees, transfer fees, agent fees, housing, car, etc.); and The loan must be a season-long free loan; The player has not appeared on a gameday roster for the MLS Club as of the beginning of the applicable loanee club’s season; and The loan of the player to the loanee club must last for the remaining duration of the entire loanee club’s season; provided, however, that such a player may be recalled to his MLS club in the case of Extreme Hardship.
roster relief isn’t a good excuse for a guy on the league minimum of 68k.
22. I must be delusional (or barely outside 🤭) but it hasn’t been that bad. Just that one big snowfall.
