I keep flip flopping on the idea of if we will/ if we won't. I think we will for the reasons you mentioned. but I think we won't because JH will want to give some guys a rest before their gruelling seasons that will start earlier this year. I also think Nations league doesn't really give any additional preparation considering we would've played the best talent twice within 8 months. I think we see "our strongest team in Nations League" if it's paired with a marquee friendly like what is being rumoured. Other than that, I think we've had "enough" preparation against the best Concacaf teams.

And this is where fringe guys and potential newcomers will make their final stake for the world cup squad. I can see a lot of regulars getting rest in anticipation for the early start of their seasons, and nations league being essentially an audition or extended opportunities for some guys to stake their claim. UT ultimately doesn't like Laryea. 4 yellows in 25 games as a defender isn't a sign that he doesn't control his temper or he doesn't know when not to cross the line. I'll just assume that he doesn't like Canada's tough guy mentality either, because he's not the only one who does it. To me I grew up in the era of if players had this "attitude" on the field, it was considered they were uncoachable, nuisance, bad dressing rooms guys or whatever and would be overlooked....and not simply seen as their will to win or fierce competitor. I love that we see a lot guys have this grit, and not the pushover-passive-happytobeonthefield Canadian mentality we've seen in the past. It's a direct result of where we are today, as teams no they can't fuck with us like they could in the past doing all the dark arts of football.

gotta say the last name has to be a write off for the 3rd spot. To me it just doesn't make sense to use it on a 33 year old, when you have promising younger options who arguably can be battling for the #1. I love that he represents Canada so proudly with his limited options, but still....

Except for Tajon, and Derek. But to me this was expected. It’s that much harder to break into teams mid season, and who are chasing something. I think they’ll weather storm, their clubs will make summer changes and they will be properly integrated into the squad. It’s great moves, bad timing.

see this post below Assi is critically acclaimed Zouhir has looked good when he's played. Ferdinand did well at Ottawa when he was played in his position. One of their bright spots imo. The other two, I haven't seen play but are apparently good. It's great we are having a camp, but I can't get excited because this isn't enough time to select/assess a squad based on the aforementioned 50 player database. To me if you're playing professional minutes against men, then you automatically should trump some guys. But I do also understand it's not really like that as some guys just haven't gotten an opportunity. So how do you assess that with one camp. You cant.

I guess a lot of people had the same game plan with going with sections 120 or 110…as I was routinely bumped off tickets there. Holding my son with my left hand, while he gets his shots and in my right hand navigating TM on mobile! Didnt get what I wanted but I’m in! Now for the real tickets.

The goal was his fault, due to bad positioning. I can't lie, I haven' t been overly impressed with his game, as I don't know what he does best. Last night looked like the U23 all over again playing a hybrid position.

I still stand on they should’ve had a domestic camp, and played against Forge. No reason why or restrictions for that.
