  1. Exactly. 100% agree. Raheem has found his old form that was successful for him at TFC. I think having “duplicates” (player who play the same) is key for squad continuity and for guys to easily come in and do the same job. Whether in the 352, 442, pr 433 formation. There is adequate subs/replacements for each position.
  2. He immediately looked at his hands like “what did you do” 😂.
  3. Iirc, I recall it being a 10 year contract….basically ending by 2026. I could be mixing it up with his 10 year plan however. I’m sure the length was contingent on some goals being met.
  4. No doubt. But Raheem brings something different. He’s looks to have better dribbling, his style reminds me of Laryea the way he works in the final third. Atm he’s bumping Gutierrez and Millar for me. Versatility as been key.
  5. I would like to see a mix of fringe A team guys mixed with on the cusps. A-/fringe: - Kaye - Piette - Kennedy - Fraser - Millar - Cornelius - Ugbo Newcomers/low capped: - Edwards - Gutierrez - Waterman - McNaughton - ZBG - Kone - Paton - Petrasso - Ennin - Corbeanu - Brym If they commit: - Jebbison - Mitrovic - Flores
  6. @Obinna May not be a popular opinion but I believe our mission is complete, regardless of what happens at the WC. To me we have reached the turning point of sustaining and maintaining our program status in Concacaf. 2026 will be our real measuring stick aka reviewing the 10 year plan where the “finished product” is evaluated. With that, I hope we get a “weak” draw to promote the possibility of bringing in a B team. We need more guys to get the opportunity to play international ball, to be on display, to assess where we truly are. Yes, we topped our group, but can we do what Mexico and USA do in sending B teams to tournaments and still win/compete? Atm any answer is hypothetical as we haven’t seen it. Winning our group would solidify our threat, and mentality going forward in Concacaf. It’s important that we do. But if that happens, 2023 will be a greater shock to our roster with having CNL finals and the Gold Cup. Not to mention this year might be a swansong for guys like Atiba, Milan, Vitoria….Cavallini. TLDR: I hope we get a weak draw so we can play a B+/A- squad with respect to preparing for the near future.
  7. For selfish reasons, I hope we can get an England friendly sometime in June. Herdman could work his magic for this.
  8. I think they Costa Rica (provided they qualify) would be better preparation. US & Canada don’t play anything close to Mexicos style.
  9. Does reserve games count as professional lol?
  10. Been clamouring for his inclusion over some fringe guys we consistently see and know what they do. His versatility across the front attack is very intriguing to see where that can fit.
  11. It already is different from WCQ and the Gold Cup. There’s promotion and relegation, and it’s a qualifier for the gold cup. I actually don’t like the new CCL format. It was formulated that way to appease Liga MX and MLS.
  12. Disrespect lol...but that's a big 👀
  13. This game should be a win for us. I watched them in the AFCON and their playoff.....not great. Their best player is Hakimi who can get exploited by Davies.
  14. Doneil vs Lukaku match up. lets goooooo
  15. Did anyone draw predict this? lol
  16. Read what you’ve missed.
  17. Whats classified as experience? Playing in a major tournament or just years in the game?
  18. Agreed. But not to his fault. If we had a u23, he would be easily on it Imo.
  19. Wow that’s massive news. Expansion plus the power lines being removed. Im excited to watch them in the CL. Hope the fans show out to support.
  20. Have to aggressively strongly disagree with you lol. No Concacaf team will be preparation for the World Cup. Not to be arrogant, but we ran through Concacaf. We need to play a European team, African or Asian opponent. With in the past year we have played: USA - 3x (1-1-1 Mexico - 3x (1-1-1) Costa Rica - 3x (2-0-1) Honduras - 2x (1-1-0) Panama - 2x (1-0-1) Jamaica - 2x (1-0-1) Suriname - 1x (1-0-0) Martinique - 1x (1-0-0) Curacao - 0 Grenada - 0 The only preparation that can be done in these games is testing the depth. Having someone have a Tajon like breakout…other than that we can use it for testing set pieces. Theres a reason why Brazil and Argentina are begging to play someone else other than the Conembol folks…
  21. I like how they unified the brand, just wish it was more specific to each region rather than a colour change. BC - Mountains Ontario - Trillium Quebec - Fluer De Lis
