This is surely what it seems like at this point. 17 days until the start of camp for the friendlies. 24 days till the friendly vs Netherlands 30 days till the final squad list is required. The days are going to come quick, and I suspect Jesse will be quickly selected and they'll create a hoopla narrative of "we did an extensive search and found our guy"

So no, a polish domestic great who has 0 experience outside of his country, 0 experience in the international game...isn't a good hire for our national team. Full stop. You have him so high up, and Smirniotis so low but they literally have like for like profiles, one has a history with developing/working with Canadians - doesn't that count for something? I agree, but if Canada gets out the group and he's in charge... it could highly be likely that his interim tag could be lifted. If I'm him, I'm asking for the decision to be made after the tournament, and would take any decision as being given a fair opportunity to impress.

How does a golf guy, not rely on someone with experience in the game? He wasn't good for York, and him running things from NY was an even greater stain on his ability to make football decisions.
