Cheeta reacted to Ally McCoist in Copa America: Canada vs Venezuela - Friday, July 5th - 9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific - Arlington, Texas
I have a 400 IQ plan:
If Canada wins this game today, then I will place a massive bet on semifinals match in favour of Argentina (I'm debating between $500-1000). That way if we win, amazing we are in the Copa America finals and have beaten the reigning world champions (i.e. a result that will shake up the world). If we lose, I will get some nice money and treat myself to something nice.

Cheeta reacted to dyslexic nam in Copa America: Canada vs Venezuela - Friday, July 5th - 9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific - Arlington, Texas
Me prediction for tonight:
My mom’s birthday dinner drags on well past kick-off. About 45 minutes before the game starts I begin checking my phone at regular intervals and fidgeting in my seat. I have long since finished my meal by the time the game starts and when I decline a second drink at the restaurant, it raises suspicions about my level of interest and leads to an uncomfortable discussion about the sacrifices that were made during my childhood. Dessert consists of a full blown guilt trip about my lack of gratitude while my mother finishes her third glass of wine and starts crying. The remaining weekend birthday activities are cancelled with the entire family making me feel like a complete piece of shit.
I then go home and see Canada win 2-1 baby! Woo Hoo!

Just a player who seems a step ahead of everyone regardless of the level he’s playing by at. He’s so exciting to watch, and I think the stage is too big to tinker with the lineup, but I think he’s going to be a big player for us soon. Excited to see how the second half of his season goes with Minnesota.

Before Copa started we would be all happy with a Venezuela matchup.

Cheeta reacted to Joe MacCarthy in Who broke Buchanan's leg. A poll.
I had what I thought was a good bit to post and usually don't have a problem with dark humour and the like but I thought better of it. This is going to be a monumental part of this young fella's life. This could be the difference between Serie A and CPL and I suppose the other person involved doesn't feel too great either. I can only hope he ends up like Max and comes out of it better than before.
Might be a tad "Too Early?" as they say, at least for me.

I confess I did watch the clip of Tjon being welcomed back at the hotel for clues.

Didn't make it easy on themselves, that's for sure.
Have to admit, best part of those spot kicks was after the 3rd Argie goal how the camera shot cut away to show Messi scratching his ass.
I love this game.

Handball seems a harsh decision here, but it's a white guy with cornrows so he can have no complaints.

We have a bit of a dilemma here in The Hammer, Forge have 7PM ko with Vancouver then the Canada match starts at 9, they are showing the Canada match at Tim Horton Field in the Club section with their over priced beverages, Wingporium which is the official V's viewing location is a 10 minute walk from the stadium but is not huge and will probably be packed! Decisions, decisions!

Argentina's bench is better than all but a handful of starting 11s in world football, imo. Crazy depth.

LOL. You're up early.
It's still a thing I guess in that it is what it is. You can get a midnight dinner if inclinded, which is a bit hard to do in Winnipeg otherwise. Can't provided an educated opinion as to the quality of their cheese sticks as it's not my thing but they do have Rickard's Red on tap, for what that's worth.
I brought up the McPhillips street location because I've been in there a few times after "indoor" and found the late night highlight packages well received by the local patrons (and amateur kickers) alike. Can't say that's true of all locations.
