That’s awesome to see. I really love the amount of work he’s putting in, seems truly dedicated and I know he’d love nothing more than to spank the US and Poch

Still with Novara in Serie C. (Desjardins is still there too)
Season started last weekend with the Coppa Italia Serie C 1st round.
Easton scored in the 6th minute against Renate. Novara would eventually advance on penalties.
You can see the goal here. 30 seconds in.

I'd like to see us at least try to bring in one of Promise David or Jebbison over the next two windows, idk if that's wishful thinking or not

    Awesome!
I calculate the league average as 3989. At the same point (70 games, I'm not counting tonight's game) last season the league average was 3714. So that's a 7.4% increase this season so far.
The last 5 weeks have all averaged more fans per game than those same weeks in 2022 or 2023. Here is my updated graph... finally.

I watched most of the game, had some great moments that showed why he was brought in. USG are gonna be worse than they were last year probably by the look of how they’re playing, but still competitive in the first division. Big thing for Promise is to learn how to conserve his energy better. In the first half he was constantly running, never resting and he couldn’t make big sprints really because of it. Second half he calmed down, but because of his eagerness to run he ended up in bad positions in buildup a lot. Multiple times he ended up in the space of a defensive midfielder when they had possession, and then he wasn’t able to get into the box where he’s really dangerous when the ball went forward (like 30m from the goal when crosses came in). Can’t believe I’m saying this about a player, but he’s working too hard at certain things. Second half he had a great run down the line and a sharp cross that no one ran onto, and a good header that hit the crossbar in the first half, so potential is clear. Just needs to clean some things up in the next couple of years and improve his touch as much as possible and he’ll be very solid. Also got a wee bit hot-headed at the end with getting a yellow card, but who doesn’t like a little fire in a players personality.

Agree with the top 5 leagues idea but don’t discount playing in a top team in a second tier league a la Staq and Alistair.  They get pressure every week to win and get cracks at Champions League. Also doing well on those teams opens up top 5 league opportunities. If you just go back 4 years and look at where our players plied their trade it’s incredible the step up in teams. Guys like Will Johnston were important guys and now he would be lucky to make the squad never mind start.
I also like looking at the club rankings to determine the value of playing in lesser leagues. Some are quite surprising in terms of quality and I would rather our players get starter minutes on a Porto than play garbage minutes or ride the line on a BHA.

I know! Seems crazy to complain about it, but a potential embarrassment of riches up front: J. David, Larin, Ugbo, Akipelu, Oluwaseyi, JRR, Jebbison (hopefully)

For me the coolness very much depends whether or not they play 2 strikers.   I definitely wouldn’t want David going there if it meant he would likely block Jebbo’s opportunities for minutes.  I would much rather DJ fight for (and win) either a starting role at Bournemouth or at least substantial minutes in a supporting role.   I guess we risk piquing England’s interest if he is too effective but otherwise we just need him to get playing time.

I've said this before transfer windows are fun for fans but a very stressful nervous time for the player and their family..mostly waiting and hoping for interest to turn into an official offer and even when the deals start getting done(if they get done..loads fall thru) it's so complicated all the details and inner workings of the contracts first between the clubs then working out personal terms it just takes time painful time...then the real work begins, travelling for a medical then press and the big reveal all while trying to find a place to live, a school for the kids... loads of stress and then you are meant to hit the ground running and be at your best..
But an amazing thing to live your dream but not always roses..
