Ineligible (has played for Ghana U23 and one-time switch wouldn't work since he wasn't Canadian at the time.)

Only Waterman and Elva would be eligible. Since Shome and Bair have played in friendlies. And Cristian would need to file a one-time switch.l

    Let's have fun.
With the latest camp poutine, it's a question that I was wondering myself what the answer to the question was.
Who is the best Canadian player still active that doesn't have a cap in their name? He has to be eligible for us and hasn't played for another national team before or at the youth level. (I think the reason behind this is I don't want to have a player that needs to file a one-time switch for reasons) The player may have participated in a senior team camp, so Marco Carducci or Dominic Zator would be valid answers
My pick is Ryan Raposo. The one thing about this is that there are so many answers and I don't think that there would be a  consensus here.

No way, considering the Netherlands current team,  Canada would destroy them easily. Canada has way more talent across the board.
When Canada gets to Qatar they'll definitely be able to beat the big teams, especially the teams that have quality but at worst Canada would get a draw, no doubt about it.

I don't think that he'd be eligible for a club for the current season mainly because he's already played European football since January. I know they changed the rules that players can play for their new club if transferred in January, but this would be a new interpretation and we still don't know how transfer windows will work because of what happened.  To be fair, this season has been unique and I don't think that we can compare it to anything that has happened before. UCL didn't exist 100 years ago.

Well, that's the hard part about predicting who will be hot in 2 years. And I do think it's way too much MLS-centric.

I don't think CONCACAF would. They don't really make money off WCQ's. USSF and FMF do.

Dwayne we are friends, but I couldn't disagree with you more on these posts. The Voyageurs has evolved significantly since you were running the organization.  I love having the forum for people to communicate, but it no longer holds the importance it once did.  There are many places we meet and connect on social media, as well as in person.  If the message board is all the Voyageurs is to you, then you are missing out on a lot.
I am a proud Voyageur, and I chat with fellow Voyageurs almost daily. Sometimes in the forum, but usually in other places.  That's a choice I make, not because I have issues with how the forum is run, but because if feels more convenient to connect on other social platforms.  Message boards aren’t dead, but they are not what they used to be, when there are many other ways to connect.
I’ve been part of so many Voyageurs activities in the last couple of years, from viewing parties to live games (in several cities).  I’m a bit dismayed that you could say the Voyageurs are dead.  It is very much alive.
For those that think Jamie is running the show alone, this is misguided.  It’s true that Jamie has put in an unbelievable amount of personal time and money into this, but he is not acting alone.  There are Voyageurs all across the country helping Jamie promote the Voyageurs regionally, offering advice, and opinions.  Lending a hand on game day, and leading up to game day.  And there are several very active Voyageurs who have worked closely with Jamie with the incorporation.
And saying Jamie is the only Voyageur because he is the only name on the not-for profit, makes no sense.  There are only 4 of us on the RRR not for profit, but we aren’t the only members.
I agree that Doug shouldn’t have been banned.  But the tizzy this has devolved into is a bit incomprehensible.  If you want to call for more transparency fine. That is a fair comment.  But to suggest the Voyageurs are nothing, is quite frankly offensive to all of the active members of the Voyageurs, putting in a lot of hard work, time and passion.

This past weekend I was graciously invited to participate in a virtual bachelor party for a former frequent contributor to this board, that concept was quite new to me but it was also an absolute blast! The topic of this board came up, probably 6 of these guys and girls were active on here for a long time, these are people who's football opinions are respected Canada wide, they all have left for similar reasons, personal attacks and posters not showing respect, sadly the CPL topics were about the last straw for most! What should have been the highlight of this forum with the new league and all has contributed to it's downfall because of many new and a few older posters lack of respect!
