Tomori is far from the best defender in Serie A these days.  Maybe a couple seasons ago.  Although, he still walks into our backline.  And Bounou is playing in the same league as Borjan, albeit for a significantly better club in Al-Hilal.

Marmoush has been exceptional though.  Him, Cristante, Bounou and Ferdi would have been massive additions.  But they hurt less with less connections to Canada.  Tomori feels slightly different as he’s the only one of 5 mentioned that was born in Canada.  And even worse, in our youth system.  Tomori also has it worse than the othersfor as the others have all gone onto successful international careers with their countries, while Tomori’s seems to be ending already after only a few appearances.
