Man that David goal was up there for recent Canada goals. Such a sublime finish and so timely. Bombito is the centreback we thought we would never have. What a Rolls Royce.

Agreed. He was somehow only credited for winning two aerial duels. Felt like he won at least a dozen. He played tonight like he could be one of the best in the world.

Surprised, too. His pace plus Davies' back tracking wheels, and Cornelius and Laryea  not being slouches for speed give our back an defensive x factor.

I didn't think Bombito was a huge stand-out in the air, but what I was really impressed by was his ability to defend physically without fouling.

Pretty dreadful game, but a win is a win. Pitch was atrocious and hopefully will be in better shape in November, but Canada can't make any excuses about poor pitches when they are the standard elsewhere in the region.

Bombito was the only outfield starter who I thought had a good game. Larin and David had great finishes in otherwise off nights. Thought Eustaquio, Ahmed and Choiniere in particular struggled, although Ahmed had a great ball into Larin for his goal. Don't recall Crepeau doing much other than picking the ball out after a good shot. Millar and Bair looked good in their short cameos. 

Can't complain about a win in a friendly but not the greatest 2 hours of watching Canada this year.

Have to agree - but on a per minute basis, Millar had as much impact as anyone.  A great shift by him too.
