Friendly match: USA vs Canada - Saturday, September 7th - 4pm Eastern / 1pm Pacific - Kansas City, Kansas

Fantastic result. What a dominant first half.

We closed this match out really well. So many times in the final 5-10 minutes, I was saying to myself: "This is exactly what we should have done in second half stoppage time in the Uruguay match." Nice to see those lessons learned and implemented at the first available opportunity.

I like what this victory does for us psychologically. The guys have proven to each other they can defeat the US on their home soil. This was the perfect time to clear that hurdle with Nations League and the Gold Cup coming up.

That being said I really want to see more of Russell-Rowe but Marsch seems to have favored Oluwaseyi as the 3rd choice

I have historically said the same thing but I also think that Tani has shown really well in his sub appearances so I suspect Marsch has seen enough in training to think he is the heir apparent to Larin.  Tani seems to generate good chances (the way he turned the the two US defenders was impressive) - it is just his finishing that may need a bit of work.

Either way, it is a good problem to have.

That was a great feeling. We're just good now and if doesn't need to be the same starting 11. We have legit depth

That is one of the good things for me.  We moaned about how Davies needs to play wing and yet we have Shaff and Millar pushing each other to claim that spot and both seem to do well (I rate Liam more than some here - I think he brings a lot in terms of team play).  We can also now lose guys like Tajon and Kone and we have capable replacements that don’t put us at a disadvantage.  And even if a guy like Alistair gets injured you have really solid players like Richie ready to step in.

We may not have the same depth as the US in terms if sheer quantity but you only need enough to be able to field a competitive team even when some starters are injured.

Vasi, thank you for the Serbian website.  I couldn't get the sound to work (Does "unmute" mean pornsite in Serbian?) but I wouldn't have understood anything anyway.

The video quality was excellent.  I owe you a beer if our paths ever cross.

No worries buddy. I got it from footytube. The serbian feed was one without popups.

😂🤣 no i think the "un-mute" was in English!.

Hilarious overreaction from Americans. Apparently this was their worst performance of all-time 😂

I mean we bullied them from start to finish. They had no chance of getting a result today. They were outclassed.

So i understand why an arrogant fan or pundit might feel the way they feel.

They were supposed to take over CONCACAF from Mexico. But out of nowhere Canada whom for the majority of the past 20 years played like a minnow has taken over the region. They are back in 2nd spot and unfortunately for them, they have not realised it.

They are in Shock. It's going to be interesting what happens once Poch takes over.

Watching the US feed and play-by-play person pretty well conceded that the goal was offside without actually saying that it was offside.

The play-by-play person is Luke Wileman, by the way.
