The Vs didn’t ask for tickets because we have had next to no interest, there are thousands of tickets still available in all sections and the ticket price for the friendly in the same seats we had against Peru are triple the price (around $200 US).

The Athletic just reported Pochettino expects to be coaching for the US during this friendly.

“Mauricio Pochettino and his staff are expected to join the U.S. men’s national team for their friendly against Canada on September 7.

U.S. Soccer continues to work on finalizing the Pochettino deal. His contract situation with former club Chelsea, specifically his severance package, has not yet been resolved.“

Did the article say he would be present or that he would be head coach by then?

From my understanding he will be present but in a learning capacity, to give him time to adjust.

You know what you are right, it doesn't say that he will coach the match, just that he and his staff will be there.

What differences do we expect from the Copa roster? Tajon obviously won't be there but what other differences?

Probably no Kone given he just moved to a new club and is carrying a minor knock. Not sure if players like Bombito who just made a move and is trying to settle in at a new club would appreciate coming back to NA for two friendlies. Good opportunity for Marsch to blend in some players that he didn't have a chance to see during Copa, and maybe we get dual nats like a Lopez as a training piece.

Bring in some new faces to see what they’ve got, and let some guys in new clubs have a break (like Bombito / Cornelius). Let them rest and be full strength for vying for their club positions.

Wonder if Choiniere joins, or rests as we await the official move. An injury that throws off the transfer would be devastating (unless I missed the transfer). Bring someone like Saliba instead personally.

Same logic goes for Poku. Yes he’s not waiting on a transfer, but an injury that throws things off would just blow.

I'd like to imagine that we're deep enough up front now that we don't need to call Cavallini. I'd rather see Promise get a run out.

The point was that he may have been deserving, given his recent LigaMX form, until his ACL injury earlier this month.

These 2 games are vs the top 2 teams in our region. We can't treat this as a camp poutine. I would expect some rotation for fringe & injured players but I'm expecting the strongest side available.  I doubt Marsch can afford to not call up Bombito or Cornelius. The US players will be pumped especially after their poor Copa performance & to impress their new coach in waiting. The same for Mexico. These are going to be 2 difficult games. We need our best players.

Oh yeah, this isnt the time to let a couple starters sit out a camp.  The injuries will give us the excuse to bring in new faces, but lets not screw around.  USA is going to be fired up, looking to prove something and if we really want to be in the mix...we need to go after them hard.  Forget its a endless string of USA home games, we need iron to sharpen iron, get it done in their back yard!!
