Not the ending to that game FIFA probably would have wanted and shows the CWNT doesn't actually need drones to beat the top teams, which is what makes the whole thing so infuriating.

It was fair tbh. A couple of further injuries, a fair bit of time wasting (eventually by both teams) and a VAR check on the goal.

So we play Columbia.  Any win does it since we have positive goal differential and a loss by them means they would be 0 on GD at best.   And nothing that happens in the NZ-France game could push us to 3rd if we win.

Assuming France beats New Zealand (which they should), Canada will finish 2nd if we beat Colombia

We could even finish first if NZ ever managed to beat France.  

But the main thing is that we control our destiny.  Nothing can stop us from advancing if we beat Columbia.  And under the circumstances, advancing is a massive accomplishment (especially consider France are #2 in the world and playing at home in the Olympics).

The back line was a rock, the keeper made THE save at the right time, our captain was fantastic, our midfield batttled, and I felt Spence's tactics were correct.

France outplayed Canada for about 30 minutes in the first half. Otherwise they looked very ordinary, shaky at the back with two questionable keepers.

Yes, it’s bizarre but it makes sense for the point totals to be smaller when one of the qualifiers was deducted 6 points.
