Match Thread: July 18, 2024 - Halifax v Valour

Recommended Posts

7pm local 6pm eastern

The two bottom teams go at it

Apparently everyone or almost is available for hfx but valour should be without williams polisi sanchez + alarcon campbell who are suspended

"The two teams do have plenty of recent history against one another; Halifax already hosted Valour earlier this season, and the Winnipeggers recorded their first win of 2024 in that match. However, the Wanderers have beaten Valour more than any other club in their history, with 11 victories from the 20 previous meetings"

A good chance of seeing both Quebec players, imo.

With Campbell and Sanchez out of the lineup and the offense not producing perhaps both new Quebec recruits should start?

The two teams at the bottom meet again. Maybe this is the turning point for the winner. A path towards a brighter and better future. And the team to lose will become a laughing stock to the league. A critical moment here! The pillars of the league will shake...

I wouldn't mind this lineup, but I'd be shocked to see an XI that doesn't include Verhoeven. He's like Polisi last year: a guy PDS can't help but include in his lineups even if he never does anything useful.

valour shouldve gone with sukunda at rb

Yup. Facchineri has been a good CB, but he is lost at RB, or RCB or whatever you want to call it.

That said, Sukunda has looked bad every time he's been on the pitch this season. Not sure he'd be that much better.
