They are what organizers need to wake up and respond properly to the demands of the event. In Toronto and Vancouver too. Either it happens now or you can risk it happening then. All events have their challenges and you have to go that extra mile to ensure you're not embarrassed. I wrote a report on the Vancouver Olympics for the sports department of the City of Barcelona and you have multiple narratives happening, some controllable, others planning, some out of your hands. But Vancouver actually turned them all around, except that death of an athlete in practice runs, and ended a success.
