Hundal has been pretty terrible, and Swibel has been miscast as a wide player where Binate is a better fit. The lineup makes sense, though it won't make a difference against this opponent.

Alarcón out of the lineup.  Hopefully short term injury, Valour cannot afford another.  PDS sending a statement to Hundal?  Another start upfront for Binate, who looked the best of a sad lot in the last game.

Looking at that Forge bench, nearly all of the outfield players are better than any Valour starter.

Not a big crowd at all. Toronto Rock game on but I doubt there is much crossover.

Valour looking better now after a tough first five minutes.

You can tell this Valour team is well-coached. They keep their shape, are organized, and play some decent football. But eventually they will break down, because the talent gap to the other teams, and especially to Forge, is greater even than in the previous seasons. You can't scheme your way into goal scoring and creative play when you have a team of plumbers.

When they get down a goal, you really have to break your shape and get bodies forward, and that ends badly when your players are so poor.

Binate had a solid half, lots of good attacking moments from either side or down the middle.

Valour was much better after the first 7 minutes.  Binate looking good - 2 shots on target, drew a yellow.  Both teams had chances.  Valour defense looked shaky on a couple of occasions.

addition: Antonogluo continue to impress.
