I don’t necessarily mind trying the challenge rule but what they just said about Spain’s challenge is BS.  The play was ultimately offside so they get their challenge back?   They still made a challenge and consumed time.  Should absolutely burn one IMO.

That disturbing run-back-to-your- spot-on-the pitch mentality. Instead of going to the press and relying on teammates to cover the shift. Regardless of what's happening in the play. Sadly, you see this in MLS defending quite often.

We're actually picking at their defence and getting close a few times.

I think the keeper did well actually. But we're getting behind their defence and forcing sloppy play from a team that's usually in control.

The U20 team in 2022 was demoralizingly bad, so as frustrating as this tournament could be, it was undeniably a huge improvement.

Good showing against what I'd say is a poor representative of Spain considering they're holders. A bit of a transitional group for Spain, some nice pieces for Canada but also I'd say some disappointing inclusions. And the need for more demanding coaching from our youth managers.

I would have liked to see Chukwu and Rose together at some point. Seems like you should try get your best players all on the pitch at once at some point. Ultimately pretty glaring defensive lapses were the downfall of this team against France and Spain. Some nice pieces for the future to be sure!
