3-0 final

teams best player was rosted

the team is now 8th but the 4 teams below have games in hand

will need something like 6 wins 1 draw or 5 wins 4 draws in the remaining 14 games to make playoffs

the teams priority should now be the canadian championship to at least win a championship this year...its not happening in mls or leagues cup...and it wont be easy against forge who beat montreal so gotta plan and prepare around it

Down a man, down 2 goals on the road, at least the Caps are grinding and fighting unlike the TFC capitulation earlier this evening.

Yeah, they were noticeably outworked last night.

Rosted their best player?  Well, no one stood out for me as good last night and Rosted was anonymous, so yeah, may as well give it to him.

all 3 canadian mls teams are down bad right now

After positive starts in the season from both TFC and Vancouver it's starting to look like both are trending to miss the playoffs all together

TFC missing could have been predicted - team is a mess and will take Herdman some time to clean up.

Vancouver missing is a disaster for them.  It's their best attendance in the history of MLS, and they're absolutely squandering it.

the results right now are what they are, the seeds were planted in the winter transfer window where they signed three guys on free transfers (zero $ paid in transfer fees) and left the third DP slot + a u22 slot open. very unserious offseason, even league-wide talking heads like tom bogert (starts at 1:03:04 of the episode) have picked up on how they had a pretty good team last year and did almost nothing to improve it (and have gotten genuinely worse, based on most of the underlying numbers!!)

Yup.  I'll be really interested to see what they do this summer.  If there's a decent DP or u22 signing, then they can at least claim they didn't make a move over the winter because they wanted the spot for the summer when there was more options.  If there's no major move, it will be yet another opportunity blown by the club to really establish themselves.

Plus Vanni is a one trick pony. I am sure the players are sick of his andiamo b.s. by now. Once that is gone, there’s nothing - just a series of random line-ups and formations sent out there hoping for something.

the bottom two teams wake up a little late with over 10 points away from playoff spots and decide to make changes...skc part ways with technical director and vp of player personel brian bliss and say theres an announcement coming concerning the clubs technical staff...they need to get vermes out asap...san jose part ways with head coach gonzalez...made playoffs last year but was a disaster this year...ian russell who did very well in uslc is the interim coach

Sporting Kansas City part ways with Brian Bliss

San Jose Earthquakes part ways with Luchi Gonzalez

The reason the Caps will be in a playoff spot because these two teams, plus Dallas, are pretty weak.  I see a bump in form but not enough to pose a threat.
