He's making the bench and has seen the field. If he goes back to Pumas now and can't get off the bench and a year passes by and he hasn't seen the field, then maybe we have that convo. Exactly. No diff in what's happening with JKL at Bristol and LDF at Fulham. Lots to learn from training with the first team and viewing the game from the bench in Yr 1. After that young players need mins. I fully expect LDF & JKL to be loaned out if they are not in the mix for substantial mins nxt season and the same would apply to Lopez. blueseeka, Unnamed Trialist, InglewoodJack and 4 others

I wonder if they have a youth structure in Mexico, I have never paid any attention. The important thing is to play as a young guy, and then work your way into the senior squad. So as you say, if he's not playing in a year, have to look for a solid loan somewhere. Borjans Sweatpants
Kadenge
Klopp's kids are showing the way. Play us and we will deliver. Perhaps we shall see more chances given to young players now. If Liverpool can do it then why not?

Kadenge
If I was Marsch I would call up Lopez to train with the team in the next window. His skill and soccer IQ is tops. Mexico is lacking goal scoring so I wouldn't put it past them to call him up to their senior team just to cut us off. Corazon
His assist from last night. Nice finish from Morgan as well, who also looked impressive at times last night. TGAA_Star, lowlander, Canuckia and 2 others

It was swampy in areas. Shame that a Concacaf U20 WCQ is played on a field like that and with inadequate lighting, especially given that Mexico are hosts. Not a good look for our Federation once again. They don't take youth soccer seriously.

The guy's pretty infamous on the US soccer sub, they say he isn't credible at all, has barely if any insider info at all. If you look through his posts you'll notice some tidbits are completely fabricated, like this post : Seems like a clown Canuckia and Borjans Sweatpants 1

FC_Hali
He looks versatile, which is maybe how Marsch justifies a future call-up. If he projects as a winger, I think he’s worth having a look at despite his lack of first team minutes. We need to explore more options in that position. 74 Whitecap
He kind of reminds me of Oso, exactly the kind of high soccer IQ, very precise with the ball, player Canada has trouble producing and could really use going forward. Still young and we all know how torturous the path can be for young players, but I do hope we can convince him to play for Canada at the senior level. A player we produced, reminds you of another Canadian player that we apparently can't produce? Confusing. RS

"Trouble producing" not "can't produce". Oso also spent time in South America, I believe Uruguay, before signing with TFC. 74 Whitecap
