And to that I would say Lopez is not in need of minutes...yet. How old is he? 18? 19? He's making the bench and has seen the field. If he goes back to Pumas now and can't get off the bench and a year passes by and he hasn't seen the field, then maybe we have that convo.

Exactly. No diff in what's happening with JKL at Bristol and LDF at Fulham.  Lots to learn from training with the first team and viewing the game from the bench in Yr 1. After that young players need mins. I fully expect LDF & JKL to be loaned out if they are not in the mix for substantial mins  nxt season and the same would apply to Lopez.

Exactly. I wonder if they have a youth structure in Mexico, I have never paid any attention. The important thing is to play as a young guy, and then work your way into the senior squad. So as you say, if he's not playing in a year, have to look for a solid loan somewhere.

Where this guys playing in dankness? Were the lights turned on?

This looks awful.

Yup  dankness and darkness.  It was swampy in areas. Shame that a Concacaf U20 WCQ is played on a field like that and with inadequate lighting, especially given that Mexico are hosts. Not a good look for our Federation once again. They don't take youth soccer seriously.

I’ve seen this guy posting before, does he have credible info? Anybody know of him? Was responding to Mexican fans saying he was using Canada and would be going back to the Mexican team soon

Not sure about the “provisionally cap tied” bit but hopefully he is in touch with Marsch and looking to rep the maple leaf.

Yeah he’s got some clout, don’t think he would lie about that and he’s also very US biased I found and Mexico.

The guy's pretty infamous on the US soccer sub, they say he isn't credible at all, has barely if any insider info at all. If you look through his posts you'll notice some tidbits are completely fabricated, like this post

Seems like a clown

He looks versatile, which is maybe how Marsch justifies a future call-up. If he projects as a winger, I think he’s worth having a look at despite his lack of first team minutes. We need to explore more options in that position.

He kind of reminds me of Oso, exactly the kind of high soccer IQ, very precise with the ball, player Canada has trouble producing and could really use going forward. Still young and we all know how torturous the path can be for young players, but I do hope we can convince him to play for Canada at the senior level.

A player we produced, reminds you of another Canadian player that we apparently can't produce? Confusing.

"Trouble producing"  not "can't produce". Oso also spent time in South America, I believe Uruguay, before signing with TFC.
