Ouch

The Columbus game tomorrow could get really really ugly. Mabika, Rosted & Petretta in a back 3 against arguably the best team in North America. Yikes!!!

o'neill is suspended

could be petretta mabika rosted or petretta mabika laryea or petretta rosted laryea

might be a blowout

TFC needs arguably six more points this season to clinch a playoff spot. Maybe you just don’t field the great roster for this game and focus on upcoming matches.

maybe but after this one theres a long trip to colorado who have won their last three then another trip to vancouver for the cup final then another long trip to chicago who have just beaten red bulls and then season ends with two home games vs red bulls and miami...and all this is games every 3-4 days no break

TFC can’t afford to take any chances. They don’t have enough games left to field weaker sides. You literally need to take something out of every single game. Especially the home games.

Yeah.  I’m not saying it is easy, just that this is one of the hardest games. Of course, there’s also the chance that Columbus takes it a bit lightly, and we sneak out an unexpectedly good result.

Why would Columbus take it lightly, when they have something to play for?

Rogers is buying out Bell's portion of MLSE.

Not sure that's a good thing for TFC based on how the Blue Jays are run

Interestingly, the purchase price values the entire MLSE at just over $12.5 billion.  That's considerably more than I was expecting.

A loss to Columbus.  We remain at +14 on the year.

A loss is never good but this was a game that was always going to be a stretch to win so I wasn't penciling in any points in our quest to clinch a playoff spot.  Happily, the teams chasing us largely failed to take advantage so we all more or less just moved one game closer to the end of the season without changing up the standings much.

Up next we pay a visit to Colorado on Saturday before heading to Vancouver for the Canadian Championship final on Wednesday.
