Some bizarre commentary comments so far. How can Halifax have an issue with waiting too long between games when CanPL teams typically only play one game a week each weekend? Only the winner of the next Cavalry vs Forge game will have an issue that way but that's all about giving the final game host plenrty of time to sell tickets.

Then there was the idea that Halifax were tiring Pacific out with possession when their defenders are passing the ball back and forth from one side of the pitch to the other and only Ongaro is doing any running with the rest of the Pacific team sitting deep and keeping their defensive shape pretty much standing still.

Halifax's style is more geared towards 30 degree weather in midsummer rather than mid-October with a relatively wet pitch with a far from perfect playing surface. Think Pacific's slightly more direct on the counterrattack style has a very good chance of finishing the job in the second half unless Halifax make some major adjustments.

Think you'll find it hard finding someone to argue otherwise.

Slow pitch or no get at them.  Pacific doesn't want the ball.  Take some chances,  overload, start punching some in.   Dicking about is a road to nowhere, it'll be a long day if they think they're going to sly there way through Pacific today.
