What the hell is going on in here lol.
You guys are all suckers for being caught up in this Argentina political bullshit brought up by Javier. I could care less about Argentina's political issues, our country has its problems to worry about....but let's end the political talk, as there's never time for it here.

I think those Argentinians were a bit impatient. After 25 yrs of socialism i feel like it was just about to start paying off for them. Either that or China was about to step in and buy them like an old record at a yard sale but either way they should have stayed the course

Argentina has been a basket case for decades which is largely down to the continual economic mismanagement of the Peronists who have been mostly in power during that period and the fact the populace continually wants to live beyond their means.  It’s a shame as its a beautiful country with staggering amounts of resources.  There is no reason they couldn’t be as wealthy as Canada (and indeed, they were at one point about 80 or so years ago).

But when you listen to people like Javier, I have very little hope for them.  I am not saying Milei is the answer but they needed to do something radically different than what they were doing which has proven time and again to be disastrous for the country and the people.

Good post.

There are 4 types of Economies:

  • Underdeveloped
  • Advanced
  • Japan - an economy that's had every reason to fail, but still hasn't
  • Argentina - an economy that's had every chance to be successful, but still isn't.

I'm actually with you on this one but nothing seems to bother people more nowadays then when people in other places choose who and how they're country is governed. I mean can you imagine such an insane concept.

Yeah I know that one,  a South African born Portuguese who lived down here as a businessman told me that one in the Alfonso Suarez airport in Madrid.

What is crazy and dangerous is what's happening in Quito and Guayaquil right now football folks ,  the extreme right won the elections and now they are having an internal pseudo civil war.

Back to football isn't Johann Van't Schipp Canadian ?  Is he any good ?

Galtier if the reports are strong,  he could be very good choice,  he is a hard working obsessed coach the French answer to Bielsa or Mourinho

All Robert jokes aside he would be as exciting and qualified a hire as any of the others linked (Ancelloti obviously aside). He is however off the table.

He is contracted to Ajax as their head coach until the end of the season but has agreed a technical position with the club after that. He has done well so its possible they keep him on. I expect they are banking on ten hag coming back after getting the can at Manure.

Also, with condolences I didn't realise Van't Schipp lost his wife to Cancer just prior to getting the Ajax job. A good read here https://onefootball.com/en/news/john-van-t-schip-speaks-about-his-late-wifes-wish-being-fulfilled-after-joining-ajax-38489589

Honestly my first thought with the van Schip reference out of left field was:

JAVIERF = Robert?

Weirder things have happened…

It had crossed my mind as well.  Wasn't Robert also doing the all caps thing with the different names?

For me it's not Robert until I see an entire giant wikipedia page copied and pasted into a comment with no clear connection to the point he is trying to make.

Don't think I'm a faker.  We made your singer Bublée a peronist by marrying one of our peronist artists gals.

Canada one day could be a peronist nation too.  Peronism is not a political party,  is a social movement that their upper law is social justice.  We put a peronist president in Brazil and Uruguay before with Mujica,  Bachelet and Correa were  also peronists based presidents.  And we put in the house a Peronist Pope.  I'm no Robert,  lads .

I think he's moved on from that even though he's still stuck in the same old ruts

Potential replacement could be a manager who has won 19 trophies over 20 years. He is a former manager of South Africa, winner of domestic trophies in Egypt, South Africa & Saudi Arabia, 3-time winner of African Champions League and CAF manager of the Year in 2016.

In an Athletic article, he's looking for "a big national team maybe. I would like to explore. I’m driven by winning things in different countries or continents. I want to win the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup. What my good friend Walid Regragui has done with Morocco has brought something out in me. But I’m not closing down club football.”

His style is for teams to build from the back, keep the ball and dominate our opponents. When we don’t have possession, we need to recover the ball as soon as possible. I’m a big fan of Manchester City, Brighton, Arsenal and Ancelotti at Real Madrid.

His name is Pitso Mosimane.

He has taken a job in Saudi Arabia

No chance Hervé Renard could be tempted to move on from the French women's project? Possibly the only guy who could surpass Herdman in making Canadian housewives' (and husbands) hearts flutter

I know a lot of female Soccer fans would want Herve Renard
