I don’t understand the negativity about the sub. 
if he’s injured then no argument. 
if not then he deserved to come off based on play. Why would you leave a player on for another 15 mins to allow him to get to half? What if he continued to play poorly and Cuba scored? 
I think of someone is not feeling it you sub them off not let them play into it at this level.
